    Beautiful Grounds

    The grounds are beautiful, with penguins and parrots. Nice shops in the lobby. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The rooms are a bit dated, the bathrooms are a bit dark. The bed and pillows are comfortable. We had an oceanfront view which was gorgeous. The pool can get crowded, need to go down early to secure pool chairs. It’s about a 10-15 min walk to Whalers Village. Service at the pool was good as well. I would recommend staying here.

    The location on Kaanapali Beach was amazing! We truly experienced a great room, amenities and service at the Hyatt Regency Maui. I would recommend this hotel to any family that is planning on coming to Maui. Very family friendly! We definitely experienced the meaning of ALOHA!

    First time visit to Maui

    My husband and I stayed here for three nights. The room was clean but I would say the bathroom was a little dated. The walk-in closet was very nice as well as the refrigerator to store drinks and some breakfast items. There was some noise from the nightly luau down below our room but it was over by the time we were ready to go to sleep. We didn't eat in any of the hotel restaurants but found some great places to eat at Whaler Village which was a nice walk from the hotel. Our luggage had been ripped by the airline on our flight from Kauai to Maui and we sought out some help from the Bell Service desk the night before we departed the Hyatt. They were very helpful and provided some clear tape. When we found the tape wouldn't stick to the luggage, we asked if they had a sewing kit and the gal was very happy to go get one for us. We were able to stitch up the rip which allowed our luggage to make it to our final destination (home) without losing the contents inside. Thanks for the extra special service your hotel personnel provided in this situation.

    they have a luau dinner show every day from 5:30 pm to 8:30. and even from the 9th floor room you won't get any quiet time until the show is over you can hear the entire show loud and clear. Our family planned to see the sunrise at Haleakala summit and needed to get some sleep early but with the noise you just can't and after the exhausting day we had today we have to wait for the show to finish before we can get some rest.I notified the front desk about the noise issue apparently they were aware about the noise issue but still offering the rooms. The manager offered to switch the rooms tomorrow but They should have not given the rooms in the first place if it had issues.

    It's not money's worth, very highly over priced for it's service/condition - it was like staying at Motel 6. The staff ( guest services ) were not polite, v rude. Room condition & bathroom were in bad condition.
