We had reservations at this property several months ago for May 3 - 9, 2021. After reading so many negative reviews on this website, we almost cancelled our reservation. We decided to give it a shot - and we are so happy we did. Everything about this property is fantastic. The grounds are beautiful and meticulously maintained. Our room in the Makai tower was larger than most rooms. Two trams run constantly - yes, sometimes you have to wait a few minutes because the property is so large. Restaurants are limited. We had breakfast in the Italian restaurant. It is a bit pricey for breakfast ($28 for an omelet) - but it was excellent We ate in this restaurant three times for dinner. It too is a bit pricey but it was very good. Other restaurants at this property are opening in May. People complained in reviews about no housekeeping. All you have to do is ask. I like my room cleaned and sheets changed every day. I set it up on check in. The housekeeper was there every day as requested. Anyone reading this review, please don't hesitate at all about staying here. We absolutely loved it and can't wait to come back!

My fiancé and I stayed at the resort for our engagement moon and it was wonderful. Food, ambiance, and staff were great. It was also very clean and a plus was the beach on site w kayak rentals! We took photos for our save the dates while we visited through BlinnkPhotography we worked with Lisa and she had lots of great posing ideas and was very knowledgeable. We love our photos and ended up purchasing more than expected because she did a phenomenal job! Highly recommend.

Stay at the Ocean Club for a few days (vacation club property) and then the main hotel. Truly a great property with amazing service. Debbie at the front desk and Kai in security went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed and felt at home. Anything they lack in post Covid amenities they make up for in people. Cabana rentals are cheap ($40/$50) and worth it but get them early. We love love love Rum Shack down the road in queens marketplace. Dave the bartender is truly the best. Breakfast Masubi’s at the little cafe are a cheap option for kids breakfast, I’m still waiting to try the amazing sticky bun.

The Resort is located on the "good weathered" side of Big Island, and has its own beach of white sand! the hotel offers of course also all types of activities,(including pools, sports ...) Rooms are very spacious and well equipped (clean iron, board, toiletries, ...)

We stayed here for a week, as part of a Golf excursion. The rooms are very comfortable/nice. Resort was about 80% full (May 2021), and they were very attentive with social distancing and mask wearing. Our stay included breakfast, however the menu is limited, and the included 'fruit' was small (2 banana slices, 1/2 strawberry, and 8 blueberries), and they did not have sugar free syrup. The restaurant in the resort is minimalist (probably because of the pandemic), however just a 5 minute walk there are several very good places to eat.
