Villa del Palmar Resort & Spa at the Islands of Loreto

After just a 40 minute van ride from the airport, we were greeted by the friendly, helpful staff with "Welcome Home!". Misael and his team made sure that our family's accommodations were exactly as we had requested and Uziel, the bellman, was like an efficient energizer bunny! One of the things that we loved was that the staff seemed to be enjoying what they were doing! There was a lot of good hearted teasing and laughing! We recommend the "after dark" paddle boarding excursion that is guided out in Danzante Bay. The kids especially enjoyed the flying fish and bioluminesence. It was a special couple of hours; there is so much to see! We also enjoyed a half day snorkle tour with Juan on an Apex. The water was a bit chilly for some, but we went out to a beautiful white sand beach to see quite a few fish and some dolphins cruising closeby. The guys at the beach bar (David and Fidel) are terrific and very accommodating. We recommend trying the blue margarita. It looks like gatorade, but is delicious. Thanks, David! And when one of our kids lost a little football somewhere on the beach, Fidel made a special effort to find it! Believe me, that saved the day! Thanks, Fidel! The one and only negative was that the resort doesn't seem to have gotten it's restaurant/kitchen staffing back up to speed, post the Covid closing. The restaurant service was a little slow. Still, the staff was friendly and working hard, so unless you're in a hurry, it shouldn't be a problem. And in Loreto, why hurry?

We have thoroughly enjoyed every visit we’ve had here. This was our fourth time to stay. The facilities are beautiful, sitting on Disante Bay, with the rugged mountains and desert all around. It’s gorgeous! The staff makes this resort one of our favorite destinations. Misual, the manager is friendly and efficient. He really seems to care about his guests and staff. Jorge, Manny and Julio make it such a pleasure to hang out at the pools. They are fun and work really hard. They remember what we like, and anticipate before we even ask. Tullio and Gabriel are great at Casa Mia! Ilse is a sweet face to great us for breakfast.?? The food and ALL the staff at Disante are impeccable! And these are some of the best reasons we keep coming back. See you in August!

I loved Jorge, Misael, Fidel, David, Manuel and Jose. They all are excellent and they made the trip very fun.?? The people at Villa Del Palmar always make it feel like home and make it the best of times. I love this place and can’t wait to come back!!!!!????

We just love this place! Everyone is so nice and accommodating! We would like to thank Jorge, and Jose’ at the pool! Javier and Emilio for the LED Paddle boarding and snorkeling! And Misael, Jorge and Brenda at the front desk! They are all lovely people and made us feel right at home!
