Fun family March Break trip
215kennyn (Springwater, Canada) on Mar 21, 2024
My family had a good time at the Fairmont Tremblant again this year. We have been coming over March break for several years. Pros: 1. Great location for skiing/snowboarding with ski in/out access and convenient ski storage downstairs 2. We had a great dinner at Choux Gras again. Props to David our server with great recommendations and superb friendly service 3. Good sized rooms for our clothes/gear Things to make any stay GREAT 1. A better games room. I know space is a premium. But there was a lot of unused space that could have added to the kids’ night time experience at the hotel 2. The new outdoor pool area is aesthetically pleasing but the “upper” heated pool could have been hotter for those achy skiing muscles… and a cold plunge area would have been nice to help recover for the next day’s ski runs. We look forward to coming back

Location of the hotel is super convenient, all the crew working at the hotel is very kind and they are all the time ready and willing to help you. Rental equipment located at the hotel is very comfortable. since you have everything you need in the same place.
Ski out hotel with heated pools and very contagious rash

We booked the Fairmount to treat the family to a special last ski of winter. Yes there are definitely reasons to pick fairmont for skiing. But sadly some big upsets the biggest I came home with Impetigo from the outdoor pool and hot tub which I spend 70% of my time at as I don’t ski. The sheets were so stacked and treated with chemicals that whenever we would roll over at night the crisp sheets were so loud they woke us up. Myself and my son found the sheets very irritating to our skin which just after we left found out had impetigo! The host at the breakfast restaurant was very rude to us. I said our rooms came with the breakfast but I would order my son the kids meal. Meaning child price buffet.she said we do not have a kids menu be then tried to seat my family of three at a table for two! My son is 7 he needs a chair! I did bring this to the front desk’s attention and they apologized and gave us free drink vouchers. The tipping point is that the pool and hot tub gave me impetigo! I just hit back from the doctor who said most certainly I got it at the hotel! So stay for the ski out feature, stay for the outdoor pool and hot tub. But some rude staff and now a very contagious virus and our special trip has really been clouded by the negatives that outweighs the positive. Also at this 4 star hotel the tv in the rooms was broken and you had to pay daily for internet or $25 for a movie. To be honest our family is left disappointed and with impetigo!!!
Always wonderful

Always wonderful. We go as much for the skiing as the French Canadian food experience. It is worth finding a good restaurant to enjoy the food culture. The staff at Fairmont Tremblant is lovely, they enhance the experience with simply and genuine pleasantries. The rooms may be slightly dated but clean and perfectly functional for skiing or hiking.

In “La Belle Province” du Quebec, staying at the Fairmont Mont Tremblant is so relaxing & refined. Close to Montreal or Ottawa. They are dog friendly and this alone adds to the charm of the Hotel. Highly recommend. Skiing the slopes and skiing right up to La Terrase. Having Apres and then slipping into the hot pool or tub, with a cold plunge in there too, it’s the best. The staff go out of their way to make your stay memorable so you want to return!
