CSA is a great destination for couples, located on the exquisite 7 mile beach there are lots to see and do or just do a lot of relaxing! The sand there is amazing, so soft and there is an ocean swimming area that goes out at least 100 feet and is not over 5ft deep and a crystal clear 86 degrees. We spent so much time there or in one of the multiple pools on site. The resort staff is the best, so friendly and helpful and the spa was a must! Was not very impressed with the food, reggae beach night with traditional Jamaican dishes was the best. Loved the "Cat Cafe's " and enjoyed seeing so many friendly and well taken care of fur babies that visited us. Would go back again to Jamaica for the lovely people and beaches but would most likely explore and try a new resort.

My wife and I traveled here with 3 other couples for a week. This was our fourth trip to couples swept away. While some may say the rooms are not that great and the food is ok, the reality is you come here and pay for for the beach, view, and ocean. Overall, the other aspects that keep us coming back are the resort is for couples only (no singles) and no kids. We do not have a problem with families with kids, but for our vacation to Jamaica that is our choice. To that point, what you will mostly find here is couples ranging from mid-30's and up. You really don't get many of the younger crowd and in reality many of them would probably be disappointed with the resort as there is very little night-life on the resort and most couples are in their room by 10:00 in the evening. I will walk through various aspects of our trip to provide additional details and include some related pictures. First off, this is Jamaica, which means it is a very laid back environment and I would recommend you put down your electronics, relax, enjoy who you are here with, and embrace the culture. Most people arrive on the airport shuttle which takes about 90 minutes to get to the resort. Once there, you will realize quickly that the relaxed, slow paced atmosphere begins with check-in. Expect at least 15 minutes, maybe up to 30 depending on how many people arrive with you, before you will be taken to your room. There is not an option to make anyone hurry through this process. Enjoy the cool towel and champagne and go with the flow. The rooms are nice and have plenty of space, but are not high end resort nice. The best part of your room will be the balcony or terrace where my wife and I spend much of our time when we are in our room. The verandah suites all have televisions, but we have yet to turn one on. It's all part of our disconnecting from everything. The pools are nice, but again nothing special and during this last trip we never used the pools. There are two on the resort, one at each end and the one at the south end is part of the swim-up bar. This pool also closes at 7:00 pm. Regarding food, there are different options, but again, this is not high end chef fancy, but more down to earth casual fare. Feathers is considered the nicer restaurant at the resort and this, along with the Thai restaurant, Lemongrass, only serve dinner and require more dressed up attire, along with reservations. We have eaten at both and prefer neither of these. They are billed as higher end restaurants, but we have found the service is slow, the food quality is just ok and the service is very slow. Patois Patio is our favorite restaurant for a relaxing meal serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Palms is the buffet and for those who think a buffet somehow gives them more options and they can get more, then i guess that is for them, but for me I find buffets to be just an east way for a resort to feed lots of people. We rarely eat at the buffet, just our personal choice. Sea Grapes is right on the beach and serves more healthy food, including fruit smoothies, fish tacos, etc. Our favorite snack there is the sweet potato chips. The other food option is the grill, which, during the day, serves burgers and hot dogs (which are not very good) as well as jerk chicken, which is exceptional. In the evening, the grill becomes Scotch Bonnet, service more typical Jamaican foods buffet style. The beach and water are really hard to describe to truly explain just how amazing they are. The water is typically very calm, always warm and amazing. The beach is raked each morning by the staff and there is plenty of room to grab a lounge chair and relax, either in the sun or under one of the many palm trees. Additionally, the staff working the beach are awesome. They come by frequently to take your drink orders and bring them right to your lounge chair. The spa is exceptional. It is across the street from the resort and is part of a larger fitness center, with a lap pool, tennis courts, etc. I would highly recommend trying out some of the options at the spa, definitely worth it. The resort offers several excursions included in your visit. I would recommend the catamaran sunset cruise as well as the snorkeling. I would not recommend the glass bottom boat as you really can't see very well based on how the boat is configured. There are tons of other activities throughout the day and evening to participate in and I would recommend reviewing these in advance so you can have an idea of things you might want to try. They are not always offered every day so if you don't do a little planning you may miss out on something you might really enjoy. Overall, this is an excellent place to unwind, relax and just enjoy the world around you.

we stayed here in May for 7 days. I loved the laid back feel of the place. We stayed in Beachfront Verandah Suite on the 3rd floor and I absolutely loved sitting on the balcony in the morning having my breakfast staring out at the ocean and then again at the end of the day watching the sunset. The beach is so white, clean and beautiful and the water is so clear. I loved that I could go out near the ropes and find starfish. I can't say enough about the entertainment crew especially Densville! The Bartenders at the Beach Bar are amazing as well..my favorite Trishauna, so much fun that this was our favorite spot later in the afternoon and we met so many wonderful people. This place has so many inclusions from top shelf alcohol, snorkeling, scuba diving, and the Catamaran Suncet Cruise. The catamaran cruise is an absolute MUST. We did the One Love Bus Tour which was additional, but it took us to so many local bars and even with the rain we had so much. We also got a couples massage right on the beach just down to the left from the resort. It was so relaxing being right on the beach and hearing the ocean during our massage. It was a blast! I can't wait to go back one day again!

Upon arrival attempting to check in, we were greeted in the hotel lobby with "sit down and wait for the others". Once all guests were seated, we felt we were in a naval academy being instructed on the do's and dont's of the hotel. It was a very cold reception. We booked the luxurious Ocean Front room #1226. We could not see the ocean as the lush greenery which was in fact very pretty however it was obstructing our view of the water. Beautiful large balcony and no matter where you sat or stood all you could see were the branches. There is no room service besides breakfast and only continental choices. This is definitely not even close to a 5 star dining, I would rate a 2.5 star at best. Every day I was excited to taste the catch of the day at any one of the restaurants. We were there 8 nights and no joke, every single day was the same fish... Same catch of the day - Red snapper. The majority of the staff was rude and so unpleasant. The best way to describe it is we felt as if we were bothering them. No greetings when ordering from the bars or restaurants, no thank you's just simply no pleasantries. In conclusion, based on our experience with the staff who really didn't care about us being there, the terrible experience with the food in all the restaurants and the vendors on the beach, we will not be returning to this resort.
