    We spend 3 nights in this hotel. The location is very good...but the hotel is not what we expected. As a Hilton Honor members we've had mostly good experiences, but this time was not a good one. The bathroom was in a very bad condition, poor maintenance and with lack of housekeeping. The worst part was when we intended to check out. The lady at the front desk was very impatient and extremely rude! We will never come back to a Hliton Hotel.

    As a Hilton honours member, I expected more from this hotel. Room was terrible, run down, very noisy due to external ventilation. Staff unhelpful, not interested to the point of being rude. No managers available. There are much better hotels for the price in NYC. I suggest you avoid this hotel.

    Nice hotel. Good location. Hotel staff was very nice. Just be warned that they control the heating and air conditioning in your room. We were there in the middle of March and the first day there was very warm. The hotel doesn’t let you have access to the air conditioning until they decide it’s warm enough. The first night there was miserable because it was so hot in the room it was difficult to sleep. When we complained we were told that the hotel doesn’t turn on the air this early in the year. We were the. Instructed to just open the window. Would have been nice if we were informed of this at check in.

    We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights! The bathroom paint was peeling and old, lack of cleaning and house Keeping. The room was not sound proof and for the same reason it was very loud. Our neighbors were screaming during one night . My previous experience in DoubleTree was in San Diego, that was a great experience! Phone Check out, nobody answer, had to make a long line!

    My husband and I are happy we chose the Doubletree by Hilton Metropolitan NYC for our overnight stay Saturday/Sunday because of its convenient location, reasonable price, clean, modern and quiet room, and excellent service from Sylvia who we met at the front desk! I love staying in NYC, in the heart of "everything", and this location was great. But, I also need to sleep away from noise, and don't need a "view" (for that, I go outside), so having Sylvia arrange for us to be on the 17th floor, in the back of the hotel (not on a street), away from the elevators, made it really quiet. It meant a lot that she really wanted to help us! The Double tree buffet hot breakfast also was very good, and very convenient. My husband and I were glad we booked our stay at the Double tree Metropolitan (although he would have liked to have had control of a thermostat as the room was warm, but I was happy because it was very cold outside). Because of the St. Patrick's Day weekend, and the Half Marathon on Sunday, many NYC hotels already were booked, but the Hilton Honors Reservation telephone operator helped us find the "best deal" available, and we discovered the Double tree Metropolitan for the first time. My husband and I agreed that we would return again!
