Noisy riots ruined stay
alisoncan (South Jordan, Utah) on Mar 23, 2024
Poor management and disrespectful staff. After staying one night, my family doesn’t feel safe for the rest of our stay. Very upsetting because we have been looking forward to this vacation for months as a time to relax and enjoy time together as a family. Workers were blowing air horns outside of our room around 6 am. They have no respect for guests. We have an 18-month-old baby and 3-year-old child who need to rest, and we as their parents need to rest and recharge as well. Then the hotel management tells us there is nothing they can do because of the union contracts. If the hotel needs to pay more to attract reliable staff, they should definitely do that, but the new contracts should include a clause that anyone who intentionally tries to make guests miserable as a negotiation tactic will immediately have their employment terminated. How are we supposed to trust people who have no problem disturbing our peace in our “home away from home” to not try to harm us in other ways (e.g. stealing from our rooms)? People who hold guests in contempt and try to ruin their vacations on purpose do not deserve to be paid an excellent wage in the “hospitality” industry. Please look for a new job if that is your attitude. Quality service should come from a position of care and concern for guests.
Great facilities, staff and location

This hotel had everything we wanted. Upon arrival from the UK, having been awake for the best part of 24 hours, we needed comfortable beds, somewhere to buy a few snacks and to know we were perfectly placed for Disneyland. This place ticked all the boxes. The room was modern, clean, well appointed, with very comfortable beds and lots of USB points. We never had an issue with cleanliness or with these facilities. Checking in and out was easy and staff were always very helpful. The hotel facilities more than met our needs. The lifts all worked, there was a decent shops with snacks as well as souvenirs and the coffee place even gave us soya milk when we asked as my son requires lactose free milk. The pool was nice, not spectacular, but certainly acted as a great place to cool down mid way through a hot Disneyland August day, allowing us to cool down and go back to Disneyland for the evening. My son didnt like the water (is it salt water mixed with chlorine ? It didn't smell like a normal pool, but we couldn't really complain. As for the location, it is fantastic. We had a Disney view and we could watch the fireworks at night. Overall, this hotel was absolutely ideal and we would happily stay again.
Updated room

Our room was clean, beds comfortable and enough towels for us to use. Enough space to lay out suitcases too. We had a room close enough to a set of elevators so we never had an issue getting to the room. We did have a rental car and there is a daily charge but it’s gated and you can’t get in or out without scanning the ticket so that’s good. It is about a 15 minute walk to California Adventure. We didn’t use any of the services or pools. Our room was serviced, however we thought we put out the do not service tag. The room does have a safe which we did utilize as well. Happy with the room and our 2-night stay.
Not the best stay

Stayed here for a trip Disney must say the location is great short walk to get to Disney parking was easy accessible. They have a Starbucks inside and a pizza place I think (didn’t try it) really nice looking. The elevators are horrible in the room area takes only one worked out of the 2 so it took forever to get on the elevator everytime it would stop it was full. Also when we got on to go up to our room it just passed our floor for some reason. Then we get to the room looked extremely nice we packed up and left for Disney without a great deal of examination. When we got back we were drained went to get in bed and the bed had some reddish looking stain possibly dried blood ? Looked gross though and then we noticed under the sheets on the other side of the bed was a towel ? That just felt like it was something nasty under it. We went to the front desk asked if we can have someone come in and change the bedding the guy at guest services said he’d get someone on it we sat in the lounge for a bit hoping it’d be taken care of when we got back. We got back and nothing was touched. So we made another call and they sent someone and all they did was drop off a sheet. So sadly we had to just put that on top of the red stained sheet and call it a night we were tired. Also thermostat doesn’t do anything when you try and change the temperature think it’s master controlled elsewhere I run hot so the room was kinda miserable throughout the night with no air blowing at all.
Great hotel

We had a lovely big room overlooking DCA and could see the fireworks out of our window. The room was as cleaned and topped up everyday. All the staff were polite and helpful. The shop downstairs was very handy and my daughter loved the pizza. Only 15 min walk to the parks. The pool could have been warmed but other than that no complaints.
