We had a great stay here and other than one unfortunate incident which I have taken up directly with Disney and wouldn’t have direct relevance to most people staying here. The staff were all so welcoming. Here’s why we’d return: A nice quiet resort set around the golf course. Always managed to get on the bus to the parks on Disney Springs without a wait. Buses back to the resort seemed quieter than to any other resort The two-bedroomed unit was excellent, plenty room and well located. Boat to Disney Springs was scenic and always had space. Proximity to Epcot and Disney Springs. The lovely pool area by Hospitality House. The store onsite had enough provisions for basic breakfasts Advice to offer future visitors. If using the bus service coming home from the Parks, it doesn’t go to reception first, so get off at the first stop round the corner and walk if you’re in blocks close to reception (Hospitality House). Eat in Olivias, it’s lovely! If you have any queries, use the concierge desk which are very helpful indeed. Ask for blocks 62, 63,64 as there are the best locations for the buses. If you want an elevator in your block, you must request it as not all blocks have them. If you don't have a car, this resort is ideal providing you ask for your room to be close to reception. The only negative. The in room safe was way too small and by the time a laptop and the passports were in there it was full. They could do with a re-think on this.

Old Key West Resort was ok, not good or great. First the positives. The 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa was clean and the furniture and carpet in almost new condition. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking supplies, clean refrigerator and a large outdoor balcony facing the golf course. The beds were adequate with nice linens. However, the unit was on a very tall third floor with no elevator. The down side of our stay was when we arrived at our room. The cleaning crew had left full open garbage bags and dirty towels right in front of our door. I thought the cleaning people would come by and get them but they were still there the next morning. The villa had a light cigarette smell. I opened up the doors because the windows are fixed and can't be opened to air out the unit. The second bathroom tub was clog. The cleaning crew obviously knew about it because they had just cleaned the unit. I called for maintenance before we left but no one picked up. That night all 7 of us had to use one shower. The next morning I called again and spoke to a man that said they would take care of it. However, upon our return at midnight, the bathtub had not been fixed. A message had been left on our room phone that they had tried to fix it, but we had left the do not disturb sign on the door and they were not able to enter. We never even used the do not disturb sign all weekend. If that were the case, then how was it that the cleaning crew came in and cleaned our room. Obviously, the cleaning people knew of the clog but they did not take care of calling the maintenance people either. The bus service to the park was terrible. The buses don't follow the schedules posted. They were all delayed by more than 40 to 50 minutes. Friday nights bus to Magic Kingdom was delayed by 40 minutes and Saturdays morning but to Animal Kingdom was delayed by 50 minutes. Sad we had to waste so much time at the bus stops. The buses from Disney back to the hotel ran on schedule, at least we got back quickly. On Sunday morning we had a maintenance guy knock on our door at 8:45a.m., then at 8:55 the cleaning crew. We told them to come back but one of the cleaning ladies insisted on coming back every 15 minutes and knock on our door. Check out wasn't until 11:00. Terrible experience. Will not return nor recommend.

Hotel caro, com serviço igual ou pior que os econômicos da Disney. Chegamos tarde depois de um dia exaustivo nos parques, e não tivemos arrumação no quarto, nem troca de toalhas, nada. Evite, não vale o preço. How is possible a hotel that costs this much, and when you and your family come back from the Parks, you find that your room had no housekeeping service. Our towels on the floor. We left the room before 8am, and came back After 7 pm. Never imagine would have this kind of bad service in a Disney hotel. We have stayed at Disney Resorts more than 15 times. Never happened this.

Nice spot for families doing a Disney vacation who are looking for a place as their jumping off point to get to and from all the parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios etc.). Comfortable, convenient and low key. Ideal for kicking off and wrapping up your days at Disney World.

This was my first stay at Old Key West, we stayed for 5 nights following on from a few nights each at All Star Sports, Port Orleans and Animal Kingdom Lodge. I did enjoy the stay overall but not as much as any of the other aforementioned resorts. Firstly the positives: it is a beautiful resort with stunning grounds and the water taxi to Disney Springs was great. We ate at Olivia's and loved the food and the service. Any Cast Members that we encountered were friendly and helpful and keen to stop for a chat. As others have mentioned, it is a big resort and quite spread out but we knew this advance so the walk to Hospitality House didn't bother us and we found the buses to be pretty reliable and never overly packed. The refurbished rooms are lovely and modern and bright with some nice Disney touches and the beds were very comfortable. Moving onto the things that I was a little disappointed with: Our room overlooked the Bonnet Creek Parkway which meant that we didn't get to experience the relaxed resort atmosphere that I was so looking forward to. The view of the road and noise from the buses did spoil the illusion of being in the "Disney Bubble" and meant that sitting on the balcony wasn't enjoyable. The traffic noise wasn't significant enough to wake us up but it was a bit annoying when you're trying to get to sleep. I guess we were just unlucky as I know that some rooms have beautiful views. Water pressure was poor compared to the other resorts and I struggled when washing my thick hair in the shower. I wasn't a big fan of the prominence of smoking within the resort which is something I've never witnessed anywhere else on Disney. I personally do not like smoking and was not aware in advance that it was permitted at the bench in the middle of each guest building. Without fail there was always someone smoking there so I always had to walk past it. Also, having a large terrocotta pot act as an ashtray with a lot of cigarette butts sticking out of it didn't strike me as very Disney. The communal areas of the building could have been cleaner. For example, one morning someone must have dropped a cup of coffee on the stairs and both the steps the steps and handrails were covered in it and sticky. This was still the case when we checked out 2 days later. Old Key West is a lovely resort but there were a few things that didn't suit me personally and I don't think that I would return.
