Fun! Lots of restaurants, pool, Waterpark in the hotel!

AlejandraA1467 (Charlotte, North Carolina) on Apr 06, 2024

We had a great time at our stay. Very big hotel with lots of restaurants, and activities. The hotel has kids and family activities during the day plus an arcade. Also there is a big and fun Waterpark with lazy river, super fun! Staff is very nice too. We had a great time! The only negative for the hotel is that parking is far. You have to walk all the convention building to get to self park. You can always ask for valet which is convenient.

Vacation Killer

Sc K on Apr 06, 2024

Truly a vacation-killer. The worst hotel experience I've had. The rooms and amenities are nice, but very expensive. They over-charge you at every chance. Expect to pay over $100 more than the published price. Also the "laser light show" that was advertised in the room view cost, had no lasers (broken) any of the 3 nights I stayed there. Imagine having spent $500+ a night, and then having mobs of inner city teens screaming down the halls all hours of the night, knocking on random doors, keeping your family up past 3am, hotel staff not caring to quiet them and then trying to blame you. There are many nice hotels in the Orlando area with great pools. Stay away from this one!

Great mini vacation

JLLMB79 (Grand Island NY) on Apr 04, 2024

Great mini vacation. Check in was smooth and service was great. Valet and bellhop were right there to help us when we pulled up. Our room was a 2 queen room over looking the water park. We had 2 rooms. The room was clean. The bed did have a stain on the comforter , looked like it may have been a coffee stain. I didn’t feel like wasting time to get it changed and just took it off. My kids were eager to get to the water park. One design I didn’t like is the sink/bathroom. I would have preferred a door on the area. Drink cooler worked well for our soda and water. We only asked house keeping for towels and they were helpful. We ate at Latitude and Longitude. The food was fine but would have liked a bigger menu. Wait staff was great. My kids Loved the water park. My only complaint is guests were taking lazy river rafts and keeping them by their chairs, and staff would walk right by and say nothing. When you can’t find a tube, this was bothersome. We also ate at the restaurant by The pool. Food was decent and fairly quick and staff was friendly. The Bus to Disney spring was prompt and driver friendly. We enjoyed our short stay and would choose this resort again for a short stay.

Kid paradise

mica178 (Tampa, Florida) on Apr 01, 2024

Imagine a hotel with its own water park, multiple pools, multiple water slide areas, activities throughout the day, a large arcade, and glass elevators that seem to blast out of the ceiling a la Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. We stayed for two nights over Easter weekend. My kids declared this their favorite hotel. My daughter cried to leave and declared that she wished that she lived at the Orlando World Center. We had a two vista suite. It had a huge living space including a sofa bed. The separate bedroom was small, but it was nice to have an area for parents to retreat. The bathroom area was also small, with only one sink and a dated looking bathtub. The room's view was of the front of the hotel, which was not great, but we spent so little time in the room, it was fine. The actual room's fittings were okay. The bed was firm, but the (feather) pillows were awful, and the hotel said they were out of foam pillows. The water pressure in the shower was mediocre. When we arrived, the room smelled mildew-y, and the bathtub/shower had no curtain. I had made the reservation for 4 people, but there were not sheets/blankets to make up the sofa bed. Thankfully, housekeeping was quick to bring up the missing items and to make up the sofabed, but managing these things took from my ability to enjoy the resort. Parking was an issue. There's valet parking, but my husband hates valet parking. Self parking is far away enough that there's a shuttle between the lobby and the parking. Eek. Very inconvenient when dealing with multiple suitcases and bags, the inevitable when traveling with kids. The pools were impressive. My daughter was too short for the water slides, but she loved the lazy river. My son and husband loved the water slides, and it was hard to get my son away from the lure of the water slides. He spent almost an entire day at the pool, so thank goodness I didn't plan other things to do that weekend. I will say that there are not enough lounge chairs at all, despite multiple signs telling people not to reserve chairs. People definitely do arrive at the pool early and save blocks of chairs for the whole day. The hotel also sells premiere chairs and cabanas, but I think there should be enough chairs for at least one chair per room. And maybe make the suites come with a guaranteed chair. There's poolside service, and we took advantage. Drinks were expensive and sweet, but there's something about getting a slushy drink while lounging in a pool that screams vacation and is so worth it. We had breakfast at the Central Pantry both mornings, and it gets overwhelmed, but it's still better than the Starbucks in the lobby or the sit down restaurants if you have kids who want to get to the fun. Staff is friendly and nice. The place was kept impressively clean despite the very full hotel. Being Easter weekend, they had Easter decorations up, and on Sunday, they had an Easter egg hunt. There were A LOT of kids at the egg hunt, which was fortunately divided by age, but even still, the whole thing was over in about 5 minutes because there were so many kids. It was amazing seeing thousands of plastic eggs disappear like a swarm of pastel locusts had descended upon them. The kids had fun. All in all, this is a great place to stay with kids for a kid-centric trip. I wouldn't come here without the kids. It's definitely not a luxury hotel experience, but it's a fun hotel experience.

Awesome Hotel and Stay

6steigs (Cincinnati, Ohio) on Mar 23, 2024

First rate service and hospitality. Food for the very large convention dinner was awesome. I really want to mention the exceptional care and service of Annette the concierge, Melissa the manager and Jalen in Security who helped me out when I cut my leg which was my own fault. Their concern and quick action helped me out. Would definitely stay here again!
