    This hotel is well kept. The Portofino hotel looked old last time I walked through there.So I like this one best of all their properties and I have stayed in all of them. Nice pool The hotel restaurant is kind of pricey - so I do wish there was another food place. Overall very lovely hotel

    We stayed here for 10 nights mainly to explore Universal Studios and being on site makes this much easier. We arrived on a busy Saturday and was checked in immediately and given our room, being here for 10 nights we was disappointed not to be upgraded to a room with a view, our view was of a garden where animals used it for a toilet... The room had 2 King beds and was spacious with a separate wet room style shower. It was cleaned and serviced daily but a lovely maid. Spacious for 2 adults but a family I am not so sure. There is only one restaurant on site and I have reviewed this separately, the staff are all helpful, we had a small issue with two room maids refusing to assist us and speaking in their mother language which was very unprofessional but minor issue. You can buy universal merchandise on site and there is an amazing coffee shop (Dutch Trading Co) you can't fail to love the staff who work there. The boat service works really well and is very frequent, every 10 mins and never failed to get a seat. They also run buses which are the backup if the boats stop running due to weather which happened a few times. If we come back I think I would stay nearer International Drive for choice of restaurants and things to do , you can not walk anywhere except for Citywalk and its not cheap to dine there every night. We used Lyft and Uber extensively and they pickup right outside hotel with no issues. Definitely 4 stars but not quite 5

    Amazing hotel great atmosphere only thing is the long walk from the parking garage to the room, our room was on 2358 which is at the very end of guest house number 2. Great view just a really long walk from everything. Other than that everything was perfect.

    A Universal property hotel. Water taxi service straight to the parks. The pool is Universals largest, very enjoyable. Staff was exceptional. I had a friend and it was their birthday, they surprised them with some ballons, strawberrys and champagne. Even though there was a cost associated with it, it was still a nice touch. The lobby bar specializes in rums from around the world, also very cool.

    Birthday Getaway

    My family and I decided to get away for our sons birthday for a few days - June 7th and 8th. We spoke with Karen in the Concierge department and scheduled a Cabana for Saturday and casually told her why we were there. Upon entering our guest room, there were balloons, candy and a Happy Birthday sign for my son. He was beyond thrilled! Service like this does not happen often and really made our trip. Little touches go a long way and make customers want to reccomend it to others, which we will definitely be doing. Thank you to Karen and the staff at Sapphire Falls for making our trip such a success. We will be back for sure.
