We considered it to be the nicest of all of the Loews Orlando Resorts. Beautiful pool, great restaurant, nice rooms, good staff. We will stay there in the future and recommend it to our friends. We spent several days at their beautiful and enormous pool.

Nice stay, but we prefer Aventura next door

We enjoyed our 2 nights, family of 4 at Sapphire Falls but having just stayed at Aventura next door in December we thought Aventura was a better choice for us, and cheaper! Pros for sapphire falls: The convenient water taxi which was very well run with multiple boats at park closing provided for quick return to hotel at park closing (Dock is just a short walk from Aventura, however ). We also like the full-service restaurant and the tavern rum bar at SF, again both a short walk from Aventura. We were pleased to see the rum bar open after returning from Park at 10pm. A nice respite from the crowds and noise in CityWalk. We were able to sit with our two teenagers have conversation, small tapas and my husband and I a cocktail before showering and bed. Cons: The “quick “service breakfast place in the morning to grab a coffee and pastry had an extremely long line and staff did not seem in any rush to resolve it. We did not find that to be the case at the Starbucks in Aventura during our stay in December. Also the parking seemed more convenient at Aventura. the exit from the garage was directly into the lobby. Sapphire Falls you have to go back outside to enter the lobby again. We felt both were equally appointed but Aventura’s rooms maybe a little newer/nicer and better views. (Both were exceptionally quiet for a hotel of the masses... was pleasantly surprised). The lobby in Sapphire Falls is a bit more grand and a little bit more luxurious, Aventura little more sterile, part of the modern theming. We did not have to use elevators at all during our stay at Sapphire Falls which was nice. Aventura has that awesome 17th floor bar however and we did miss that. We enjoyed them both but probably next time we would hang our hat at Aventura and go back-and-forth between the two for the various positives at each. You can't go wrong with either, but I'd save the pennies next time and stay next door. We paid about $300/night. Comparing the two, if you are doing a couples trip, SF is a bit more grown up, upscale. Aventura better for the trip the teens or younger adults.

Great stay in a kids' suite

Stayed here for 3 nights with my wife and two daughters (ages 9 and 5) in a kids' suite. The design of the hotel is great, and the kids' suite was perfect (and not that much of an upcharge). The girls loved having their own room. The front desk staff was extremely friendly, gave my daughter her "birthday button," and followed up with text messages and a lovely birthday card left in the room for my daughter. Some very thoughtful little touches. Breakfast was expensive but plentiful and high quality. The pool was amazing (including the water slide)--lots of lifeguards, and a lot of space. We spent one day pool-hopping among several of the Universal hotels. (The Portofino is a long way away, but worth a visit.) The water taxi is tremendously convenient and an unusual form of transportation. I don't think we ever had to wait more than 10 minutes. The only annoyance was the fee for Amazon deliveries. We were hoping to get a few supplies delivered to the hotel, but all deliveries seem to have to happen through the business center (which limits pickup to hours when the business center is open, which isn't terribly convenient) and I believe the minimum "handling fee" was $15 per package. I understand a nominal fee, but that seems a bit excessive. That was the only blemish/annoyance on an otherwise wonderful experience.

My wife and I was pleasantly surprised when we received a complimentary upgrade. Spencer S. did not know it was our anniversary and we felt we were unknowingly gifted by the Sapphire Falls resort. Nancy and I were left feeling simply blessed and grateful. Thanks again for making it a most memorable experience Spencer! Rodney H

I would highly recommend this hotel. We were there to go to universal and wanted the convenience of the location. There is a boat and transportation to take you to universal. We used the ferry often and it was great. The hotel also offers the perk to get into the park earlier than most visitors. The rooms, lobby, and rooms were clean. Even the complimentary shampoo and conditioner were top notch. The employees were friendly and super accommodating. It was a super visit.
