Stayed here for a very comfortable 5 nights over Christmas. The room was great, very comfortable bed, pool view and balcony. The chairs on the balcony were cute to look at but uncomfortable to use. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, fire pits and the great bar, drinks and bar food. Breakfast was not included in our room rate and at $50 for 2 was not worth it unless you were really hungry. All the staff were kind , efficient and helpful. Would certainly stay here again.

First, the Uber ride fair from the Palm Springs airport to the hotel was reasonable (under $30). Entry to the hotel is lovely, and the service at the front desk (checking in) was great. They have a lovely pool area and main sitting area inside the hotel. Unfortunately, they do not begin serving alcohol at the internal bar until 5p.m. (only at pool bar, earlier). The food options were not very good. There is a Sushi bar and a pizza place, but I don't do either of those. The a.m. breakfast spot, however, was "hoppin", and for good reason. It had good options (my sister and I ordered oatmeal), and it came within five minutes! Looking fabulous, by the way. Accompanied by fresh berries, raisins, walnuts, brown sugar, and presented well. We were pleased. Our room was very nice. Great views, comfortable (the beds were like butter), and very clean. We were pleased at this also. Another disappointment, however, was the added daily fee for things we would not use, e.g. something about golf, the bicycles, etc... I would not expect any patrons to help pay for my shuttle service to and from the tennis venue, why should I help pay for the golfers amenities (sorry, golfers, just using it as an example). Highlight: Friendly, helpful staff all around. lowlight(s): The daily fee for things you will never use/dining options

Stayed for 3 nights in February. The property has recently been renovated and it looks amazing. The rooms are clean and comfy. Felix in the Rocks Lounge took great care of my party. We spent a lot of time out by the pool and relaxing by the fire pits. The property has a free shuttle that will take you around town and pick you up from the airport. The location is great with downtown only a few blocks away. I highly recommend this property.

We had a meeting at the Kimpton but ended up staying here at the Renaissance. I don't have any complaints about the room or service. It is a few blocks from the downtown street, restaurants, bars, and the casino.

Overall, this is a quality Marriott property, with comfortable and relatively quiet rooms that allow one to rest properly. Rooms are properly appointed, amenities are good, plumbing works well, common areas area ample, and staff is probably the the standout feature; everyone is helpful and warm, from housekeeping to management. We opted for an allergen free room. this was a first for me and I liked it. I really think that it noticeably improves air quality over the typical hotel rooms with old carpets and down bedding. Here’s what’s NOT so good: 1. Marriott has announced that they will phase out straws by July of this year. While that is a commendable move, they served my 6 and 9 year-old boys in one-use plastic cups every chance they could. I don’t think that my kids have ever broken a glass, even as toddlers. But whatever the case, if they insist in not serving kids their drinks in glassware, franchisees should invest in multiple-use polycarbonate or BPA-free plastic. There are options that do not scratch in dishwashers. This could even save Marriott money. However, even if it doesn’t generate short-term savings, the company could easily phase out ALL one-use plastic... or at least make a REAL effort. 2. While I prefer firm mattresses over soft ones, I can get a great night of rest on the latter, as long as they do not sag. The mattress I slept on at the Renaissance was soft AND a bit saggy, which is something you don’t expect from this type of hotel. 3. While the hotel has clearly gotten facelifts over the years, many elements still feel very outdated for a four-star property (in 2019), such as the old-school baths with curtains. 4. The closest bathroom to the gym is well over 200ft, across the lobby. That’s a first for me... 5. The “do not disturb” sign falls of the door unless you open and close the door very slowly. C’mon guys... this is a minor detail... let’s get it right. 6. Check the alarm clock; housekeeping did not reset ours after the previous guests checked out and it was set for 5:45am. These are not major problems and most of them can be resolved with ease. Even though our stay was not free of issues, I would certainly recommend this hotel for all types of travelers. Enjoy Palm Springs
