The amazing Christmas atmosphere and decorations with 5 million led lights all over the premises especially the palm trees and tall saguaros wrapped with tiny beautiful colored lights add to the southwestern Arizona beauty. Self parking is $60 per car. Go to the entrance of the resort starting your long stroll under the huge red ornament xmas ball. Your feet will take you to the four stories musical Xmas tree in the middle of the main garden. Xmas songs add joy all over. So many photo spots to add to your gallery. Visitors and especially kids all ages can enjoy this wonderland at the ice skating rink, Santa’s letters area, Ferris Christmas wheel, s’mores on fire pits, ice slides and the express winter train that goes around the lagoon filled with huge lighted popular season’s characters. Along the way to the Hacienda the bar lounges and restaurants add a romantic ambiance for couples to enjoy. Pricy to buy food or activities but so worth it. The Resort did a great favor to the community creating thousands of jobs to create this wonderland at this time of pandemic.

Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the front desk rooms manager Cory Johnson. He set the mood for an incredible holiday weekend stay at this beautiful property. The whole experience for Christmas especially is one of a kind--perfect for a friends getaway or a family vacation. There are amenities for everyone from the S'moresland holiday treat to the Plaza Bar and delicious restaurants on property. However, since we felt so welcomed by Mr. Johnson at the beginning of our stay, we clung to him with a deep appreciation for making this vacation feel like a home away from home. We were lucky enough to have him working the duration or our stay and he made sure that every request we had was taken care of as soon as possible. He quickly became more of a close friend to us than anything else, and we almost wish we could take him home with us! The Fairmont company is beyond lucky to have such an attentive, fun, and kind manager on staff. Make sure you ask for Cory at the front desk when visiting this Fairmont location!

Five star property .... if you don’t mind cigarette smoke and hot rooms

Beautiful property with gorgeous pools, well appointed rooms, and great restaurants. The rooms are very hot at night and do not cool off. Maintenance came three different times to address the issue and could not determine the cause. The other problem was the lack of interest in management solving the cigarette smoke wafting into our room night 7 and 8. We were assured when we booked our room that the property is smoke fee. The Fairmont policy is quite a bit different than other five star properties we have stayed at in Scottsdale. Smoke free at the JW Marriott and Four Seasons is literally no smoking on the grounds. At the Fairmont, guests can smoke out on their balconies or on their patios. We happened to be two Doors down from heavy smokers therefore the cigarette stench was overpowering and aggregated our asthma. Management acted as if the problem was with us., the non smokers. We will not be staying here again until they change their smoking policy. Disappointing!

We are wrapping up a week stay at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess in one of their casitas. As others have pointed out the bathrooms are dated. We overlooked that as they were spacious and the casita gave us more room with two teenage boys. Based on the reviews I expected the casitas to be a long walk from the rest of the property. In my opinion it wasn’t far at all. It was easy to get to the Princess pool walking along the lagoon and in the mornings a quick walk to grab coffee at the marketplace. We spent a lot of time at the pool and enjoyed renting a cabana. The service was excellent by everyone especially Reed. The other benefit of the casita was parking close by and being able to easily come and go. We were also in a second floor unit and had no issues with the stairs. If you need help, we saw plenty of families getting rides to their rooms and help with their luggage. The WiFi was great for my kids to do school and for me to work. We will definitely be back for another week again soon!

We had a wonderful stay at the Fairmont. All the extra safe measures the hotel takes during this strange time are very much appreciated. The entire staff was exceptionally friendly and courteous. Top notch service! Gus Gallett went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. After there was a silly mix up with our reservation. Gus went out of his way to make sure we got the room & view we had originally booked. He even surprised us with pina coladas while they verified that our room was all ready. The hotel is beautiful and the resort grounds are lovely. There are palm trees, pathways and unique cactus. The pools are beautiful, clean and huge. We loved the white sand beach at the sunset beach pool. We felt like we were on a tropical getaway. Our room was clean, modern and spacious. It had a nice desk area, couch, table and giant bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and luxurious. We had a nice balcony which looked over the gorgeous sunset beach pool and beach. The spa is so serene and beautiful. The extra spa amenities are delightful. My favorite was the outdoor grotto with the five massage waterfalls. What a luxurious treat. Our massage therapists Gretchen and David were friendly and professional. They both made us feel safe and relaxed, and we appreciated that they constantly checked in on our comfort level during our massages. A big round of applause to the hotel’s GM and staff for putting on pumpkin nights. What a spectacular and fun event. Pumpkin nights was such an amazing treat, and the photos we took are priceless. It was so fun seeing families and kids being safe and still having fun. Gus mentioned they do a spectacular holiday light display. We really hope to come back to this amazing resort to see the holiday display.
