Anniversary Party

Curiosity28969 (San Francisco, CA) on Apr 20, 2024

We celebrated our 20th anniversary at the Hyatt Ziva with about 50 friends and it was amazing! Alejandro and Antonio were incredibly helpful in planning the event and everyone in our party had such a great time. Fernando at the adult pool was so friendly and fun and Beatriz at the front desk was super helpful in booking us cabanas and answering any questions we had. Thank you Hyatt Ziva for making our celebration so memorable!

My granddaughter's wedding

Lyndalenihan (San Diego, California) on Apr 19, 2024

I visited this resort for my granddaughter's wedding. She had about 55 guests. The resort was impeccable, clean, colorful and beautiful. The staff was kind, fun and beyond helpful. Both at the wedding and the days in between, all food and service was incredible.

A Delightful Stay . . . We'll be back!

Chris R (Henderson, Nevada) on Apr 17, 2024

My wife and I had a most wonderful time at the Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallrata! The staff and General Manager could not have been more gracious or delightful at all hours of the day and night. Exceptional service. While it is an older property, it is impeccably maintained and well-designed, so it all works! It is close to central Puerto Vallarta, but removed enough that you still feel secluded. Safety and security protocols are robust as well, which made us feel carefree. Tip of the hat to central PV, too, as we felt very secure walking around town and the malecon/oceanfront. The food at Hyatt Ziva PV was very good as well, including at the buffet restaurant. Service in all restaurants was delightful, professional and prompt. Only beef we had was that the cost of using spa facilities is $35 per hour. Wish there was a day or multi-hour plan, as they have decent sauna/steam/whirpool and chaise lounges in that area. We enjoyed a renewing couples massage while there. Would have returned for a second, but cost only allows about one hour of schvitzing before the therapy. We witnessed 6-7 weddings on property either by a pool area or on the beach, all done quite well. Staff sets those up and breaks those down quickly, so it is not inconvenient for other guests. A few of those nighttime weddings had music audible in our rooms, but it seems that 10-11PM is the cutoff. It really didn't bother us. We will return to this property one day. Well done, Hyatt Ziva PV!

Perfect for Destination Wedding

Mollie D on Apr 16, 2024

We went for a family wedding. It was the perfect size resort for a large family gathering because you easily ran into each other and it’s not so spread out. The rooms are nice. We had King Ocean Front Club Suite and it was lovely. The view was perfect- we were on the 8th floor and could see stingrays and dolphins in the ocean. The coffee at the club lounge is excellent. It’s a very nice nespresso machine and you can make your own lattes and coffees. The staff are super friendly. We got a cabana every day with our family so we could have pool side service and some shade. We also had massages at the spa and loved it. I had a deep tissue and Veronica was excellent. You can tell when someone knows what they are doing. We also enjoyed the hydrotherapy stations. Overall, a great experience. Blaze was great for breakfast, the Italian was probably my favorite meal. Enjoy!

The Beach Makes It Almost Worth It.

James B (San Mateo, California) on Apr 16, 2024

The good news is that the Hyatt Ziva continues to have one of the nicest beaches in Mexico. It is still first come, first served on the palapas - so you need to get up early to save one. The other good news is that Hyatt has spent and continues to spend money on maintenance and upkeep. The grounds are immaculate and the beach is cleaned every day. The bad news is that the food is just not very good. Breakfast is the highlight of the day. However, dinner is another matter. You now have to make a reservation to get in to all of the restaurants - and the food ranges from average to terrible. I asked the waiter at Blaze for the tenderest cut of beef that they had - and what I was served was inedible. My advice for dinner - eat out. I am also annoyed at management. I have been going to this resort for over 30 years. And yet, the manager refused to allow me even one hour of late check out. So much for customer loyalty.
