Velas Vallarta was a total win! The place was gorgeous, with amazing landscaping and everything was super clean. The staff was awesome – friendly and always helpful. We got the all-inclusive package, so no surprise bills which was nice. Our room (a studio suite) was comfy with a king bed and a sleeper sofa, perfect for our little family. There were these great big pools, but no hot tub which was a bit of a bummer. The food scene was hit or miss – some dishes were fantastic, others just okay. But hey, there was always tons to choose from including buffets and a salad bar, so we never left hungry. The beach was right there, but not swimmable this time of year. Still, the location was perfect – close to the airport and just a 20-minute ride from Malecón. Overall, we had a blast and would definitely go back!

Juan and Miguel make a superb team of waiters at La Ribera. They took care of my party throughout our 2 week stay. Wonderful service! We made sure to be seated in their area each night. We repeated going to just that restaurant because of the service.

So convenient. Everyone was so very helpless and personable. Can’t say enough about Marcelino at the pool who somehow knew exactly what to recommend and Enrique at La Ribera who remembered each of our likes and dislikes. Both made our family vacation unforgettable. I’ve read a few negative reviews and don’t understand what they experienced, I guess some people you just can’t please. Our experience was nothing but the best. Just what our family needed.

Everyone who worked there was amazing. The location was perfect. A short taxi ride from town and right on the beach. The pool was so nice. The food was pretty good - I have a gluten intolerance and i never had any trouble finding food. My family had a wonderful time.

Beautiful resort. Extremely friendly staff. As a solo traveler sometimes situations can feel weird (like eating alone) and no one made me feel uncomfortable. The food was amazing. The all inclusive includes all food and beverage (it felt strange because the menus had prices). The room was clean and adorable
