The staff treat me more like family then a client..extremely friendly ,and kind, warm and humorous . I particularly would like to send a very warm "Thank you" to these people ( from (the Restaurant )Vincente ,Willy, Juan (the bars ),Bandera,Jossefina Giovani, and the barmaids. Jose (Lobby Supervisor), and the very best ,who made my tennis game go up several notches is Lionel ( pro) !!! I can Clearly see that the Resort made a extremely wise decision in hire that level of professionalism commitment towards his attention to the clients learning and advancing game performance. Adrian and Mini was also very kind and helpful!

We just left after spending the week at this resort. Our first impression was that the resort is gorgeous, everyone is super friendly, and the grounds are kept beautiful. Overall our trip was fantastic but we did run into a few things we did not like. Our biggest issue was when we arrived at the resort we tried to check in but the guy at the desk kept telling us our room wasn’t ready. Mind you we just got done traveling and we were starving at this point and it was in the afternoon so no reason our room shouldn’t have been ready. He calls over a lady who leads us to sit down in the lobby with her. She gets us a drink then proceeds to tells us about a welcome breakfast in the morning where we would get a tour of the hotel so we can see all it has to offer while we are there. My husband and I thought great! Come to find out the next morning, we got tricked into a timeshare presentation at another resort. We understand they are doing their job and trying to make money BUT we felt tricked into doing this by the front desk telling us our room wasn’t ready. Then when we went for the presentation, we kept saying we are not interested and the guy meeting with us understood. Then his boss came out and basically hounded us on why we paid all this money for our trip and we don’t have money to invest in a timeshare and said our travel agent scammed us to make money for herself. This really irritated us. One other complaint we have is that the food is just okay. Nothing was amazing or stood out to us. However, drinks at the bars were super yummy (highly recommend the Miami Vice in pics) and Oceana was hands down the best food there. We ended up eating there 2 nights in a row. One positive notes—-The pool was amazing. We spent the majority of our time there. There are many activities available everyday if you want to participate and the staff definitely make everything very fun. The spa was also incredible! Regardless of the things we didn’t like, we are planning on returning. We had a great time and loved how gorgeous the ground were kept. I give this resort 4 stars bc the good does outweigh the bad. Just wish the food was a little better.

My sister and I stayed here for 10 days in Oct 2019. We booked through the AM resorts Wild Card Room (a gimmick by the way, you will never get the top hotel). We very much enjoyed our stay here! We were in Preferred, which is amazing. You get access to the Preferred lounge by the beach, as well as use of the cabanas on the beach, and to eat breakfast and lunch at the Oceanic restaurant. Some of the things we liked and didn't like: LIKE - There is 24 room service in all the rooms - Fast WIFI throughout the property, even on the beach - Lots of a la carte restaurants to choose from, only 2 open each night during low season though - LARGE pool, never feels crowded - big beach with NO SEEWEED - lots of entertainment and activities DIDN'T LIKE - there is no AC anywhere, except in your room and in the Preferred lounge. Sitting in the lobby or the theatre at night was difficult as it was soooooo hot. A top resort like this needs to have AC when it's 30 plus degrees out everyday. Even the French restaurant where they want men to wear long pants didn't have AC (or if it did, you definitely can't tell because it's hot) - the preferred cabanas on the beach were great but the service was not. Willy constantly only asked the people he liked and knew if they wanted food or drinks, we often had to track him down to get a drink, or we just got up and got them ourselves. Also, on the last day, he was reserving cabanas for people but told us if we were gone for more than an hour he would pick up our stuff - only 2 a la carte open every night wasted bad, unless there was a bunch of people who came into the resort. One night we had to wait 30min to get a table and ONE HOUR to get our food. This was at SeaSide Grill. I even got a wine glass with cobwebs allllll over it! Waiter didn't even apologize! - the regular rooms are a little small. Barely any closet space for 2 people, let alone 2 ladies. Same with the bathroom, not much space. - don't expect the service like you get in Mexico. Not many people go out of their way for you. We often had waiters forget our meals or not even bother to come to our table at all. - the resort is pretty outdated and needs to be updated. Rooms are broken down, things peeling off the walls SHOUTOUTS! - Wenny, the concierge was awesome! Thank you for all your help - Estrella in the buffet was AMAZING! She treated us like her own sisters and went out of her way every day to make us feel special and at home. Would come back just to see her :) - Benjamin franklin in the entertainment team was awesome! He always came to get us when there were activities going on! He really gets people motivated to get up and do stuff! Problems we encountered: The first night our ceiling in the bathroom was leaking so we had to wait for someone to come check it out. They said it was fixed so ew ended up staying in our room. 5-6 days later, it happened again and this time they told us we should switch rooms. We were upgraded to a suite (very thankful), but wish they would've done this on the first night as we had to pack everything up to move to a new room with only 3 nights left. It was a lot of work but the suites are amazing! Definitely more room and more spacious!

Have just returned from 9 nights at this resort. We were moved here after a terrible start to our holiday in another resort. So we booked the honeymoon suite, which was really lovely. We were in block 9 so furthest from the beach but enjoyed the gorgeous walk through the gardens. Although I am a beach person they have the most impressive swimming pool I have ever seen. The gardens are stunning and so well maintained. If I was to say one area which wasn't too great is the food. The best restaurant was the Oceana, the Italian was possibly the worst meal I have ever had. However there is plenty of choice, the burgers on the beach are great. However the best thing about this resort is the staff they are amazing, so friendly. I loved the beach staff including Willie, Stephanie and Juana, Vincente. The lady front of house in Oceana was great too, sorry I can't remember her name. I felt so bad as I forgot to leave a tip for the cleaner of the room, as he/she was fantastic. Our room service was brilliant. Please pass on my thanks room 9301. We would definitely return.

What a beautiful resort & by far the best beach in Punta Cana, which is why I gave this resort an excellent rating. Staff is truly amazing & do their best to make you feel welcome. The grounds are gorgeous & well established. Resort is a bit dated & swim out rooms technically are not traditional swim-outs. One phone call to our UVC Rep & we were pleased to be upgraded to a Jr. Suite. You definitely don’t spend much time in the room, though. Food was a disappointment lacking flair & flavor. Buffet was very small with small variety to choose from - good for breakfast. Restaurants are difficult to get into without a wait. They say no reservations are needed but found if you pay extra for a butler, they’ll make reservations for you. I feel that is a very unfair business practice, however common with AM Resort properties. Swim up Bar area is continually filled with children. This should be restricted. Spa services are outstanding! Very good pricing on couples massage packages. Overall on this resort, the good out weighed the bad. For the price, we’d go back.
