We originally booked a trip to the Iberostar Paraiso Beach as we have been there twice before. We were moved to the Paraiso Maya as the others in the complex are closed at this time. The hotels are all in the same beautiful complex. Everything about the place was great. The check in process was a little slow, and be aware that you need to use your phone for a lot of things. We are not 'phone users' too much, esp on vacation so it was a little odd for us.. They had us download the app, it had hotel info and activities and show schedules. Also in the resturants, that was how you got the menu. It all worked out fine tho. The beach was excellent, activities very entertaining. We traveled as family with our 20 year old daughter and her boyfriend. Spent all day every day at the beach. Beach bar was great. Drinks and food good. They also had a cookout every day. There was something different every day besides burgers and fries which were also very good.. It was all excellent! All of the workers were the best and very friendly. Dinners were in the restaurants . We went to a different one every night. they were all very good. Shows were entertaining too. Bartenders were all excellent. Rooms were good. the place was very clean and we felt very comfortable with the covid protocal. It was a great time to go, just enough people there to have fun and people watch, but no lines, not even at the airport. this was an excellent vacation. Thank you Iberostar!

Check in process was a bit slow but otherwise... if you are looking for .... ...great drinks ...fun staff ...nightly entertainment ...large pool ...beautiful beach ...large rooms This is the place! They always had good food, many activities to partake in, entertainment at the beach or pool or areas where it is quiet. Great for kids and families as well

Great trip! First time there as black members. Food was excellent! Very kid friendly and loved the shows for the kids at night (star camp) Prestige Lounge did a great job taking care of us. Everything we asked for they were on top of it. A big perk of members is having express golf carts to take you where you need to go The spa was great as well! Shout out to Graciela in Prestige Concierge. She made me feel like I was at home. Thank you Graciela!

We just came back. We stood here 10 days. Honestly, we have mixed opinions about this resort. I never wrote any reviews. However, decided to write one. Juan-bar attended is funny and very loving, always smiling. Cleaning lady from 6306 is doing an amazing job. We have been to Riviera Maya at least 6 times. We were very disappointed when we found out on our own that buffets were closed our last 2 days, Thursday and Friday. People that work there give you a misleading info. I was forced to use their app. I’m sorry but when I go away I want to be disconnected from this world and I don’t want to use my phone at all. Our daughter is a very picky eater so the buffet was our life savior but not on those two nights. We went to see if we could get a spot for any restaurants, which we did, at Mexican restaurant. My daughter came out hungry. Food was amazing but not for my kid. We tried to book Japanese twice in 10 days, we were told it was all booked, and conveniently for them, they had availability the day that Wer were leaving. Have no idea why we weren’t able to get it... bed sheets smelled terrible, like if we were sleeping in the basement but comfy. Heavy set girl that makes crepes, wow, what a miserable person. Attitude, rolled eyes on me. I even tipped her once, she still acted like I owe her something. Was very uncomfortable asking her for food. I was always polite but that didn’t work for her. I gave her couple of days, I told my husband maybe she’s got something going on in her life. 5,6 days later she’s still full of attitude. I was asking my husband to get me crepes. I wasnt asking for her to dance when she sees me but attitude from her when I ask for food was totally unacceptable! Food overall was great, not sure why even people complained about buffets verity. If it wasn’t for my child we would prefer to stay at Iberostar quetzal in playa car. Same chain but what a difference. We came here because they have water slides and lazy River. If it wasn’t for my kid I wouldn’t come back here. By the way, this is first resort where you get 2 full size beds, I was so uncomfortable sleeping with my daughter on a full size bed, she’s 7. So we had to rotate with my husband, one night she slept with me and one night with him. Not sure why we weren’t offered an extra bed when we checked in, I found out few days before we were leaving that they can bring you and extra bed.
