While some noise may be heard, all efforts will be made to minimize guest impact during this time. Main construction will occur between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM daily.
To ensure guests safety, the construction site will be hoarded off however this may be visible from the garden view room block.
Please note the following enhancements and interim arrangements:
1. Modern Accommodations: The expansion includes 9 new modern 3-bedroom villas.
2. Dining Experience: While the new restaurant is being built, the Sea Grapes Restaurant will be temporarily relocated to a new location behind the 700 room block.

The location of Bay Gardens Beach Resort was great. Located right on the beach, this moderately-sized resort was in a wonderful location. Walk right out to the beach or pool (easy to run back to room quickly too). Rooms were fine and had patio. Construction going on immediately next door (building new Bay Gardens building), but didn't bother us as we were at beach or on excursions all day. Water park was fun for both kids and adults. You have to try it if it is included in your room package. Having non-motorized water sports included was also nice perk (we kayaked and used paddle boards). Beach was more crowded on days when cruise ships in port (cruisers can be day passes to resort), but we were always able to find chairs and umbrellas. There was only one restaurant and bar and food options were repetitive. Breakfast buffet and egg station were fine. Lunch was same menu each day. Were never told there were also pizzas available (not on any menu) and only learned this through research and looking at other people's plates. Several lunch items on menu were always unavailable. Dinners: buffet on Saturday and Wednesday and then smallish menu on other nights. Same 6-7 items for multiple days in a row. We took shuttle to another Bay Gardens property one night to change it up (they had Indian night). Food was ok at each property, but nothing great. We got so bored with food that even though we paid for all-inclusive we wound up going to off-property restaurants the last 2 nights of our stay and paid to eat.. Note that all-inclusive rate includes different things depending on if you book directly via hotel or via third party (travel agent like American Airlines Vacations, Expedia, etc.). If you book directly with hotel then you get spa coupons and dine-around town coupons for other off-property restaurants, but if book with third party then you don't. Overall a favorable experience. Liked the smaller size of resort versus a Sandals, Excellence, etc., but you will trade the food choices available at the bigger resorts in order to get the more intimate feel here. Walking distance to restaurants and shops so if you are foodie I would recommend maybe not doing the all-inclusive option and just going off-property for dinner.
Blue skies, emerald waters.

Bay Gardens Beach Resort & Spa St. Lucia Our hotel room and the resort were clean and beautiful. The air was even sweet. The pool 's layout with shelves and sauna in the middle was luxurious. Kell's water aerobic classes were a highlight and better than my home classes. The beach was not roomy but there were attendants everywhere and we easily obtained a lounge and umbrella. We ate on the terrace every meal with a view of the water and boats. We loved the tropical beauty of the resort. It was not modern and sterile. Guests mainly from Canada and Great Britain were amiable as well. The staff was helpful and friendly. In fact, when I injured myself, they quickly moved to get me an ambulance and care. They followed up even as I was traveling home. They were assuring and kind. I am unable to suggest tours:-) The hotel is far from anything but I heard good things about the Botanical Gardens, waterfalls and mud baths. The negatives. The shuttle ride from Hanewanna Airport to the resort was 1 ½ hours on bad roads The meals were bland and repetitive, although, kudo's to the "Omelet" lady. We would get a direct flight. All together it took us 12 hours to reach the hotel - between arrival at the Hewanorra International Airport, plane changes running for changing gates, delays and the shuttle ride. I posted a separate review on the airport shuttles, ours was $90 USA. The shuttles recommended by the resort were old, and dirty and we would have appreciated good suspension. There are places where the nature is laid back and this resort was just that.
