    Beautiful hotel with great location

    We stayed at the Manchester Grand Hyatt for a family vacation. We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a great location and the food was excellent. I highly recommended it; would stay again next time I'm in SD.

    Poor customer service coupled with outdates amenities - Manchester Terrible Hyatt

    This place need a #refresh on it's staff. To me it is a sign of poor leadership where executive management of this hotel does not know how to define standards and how to make their staff accountable to meet those standards. This hotel seems like a sanctuary for retirees that don't seem to know what customer service is about. I have a Explorist status at Hyatt and supposedly should be getting a VIP/preferential treatment. However, my experience was completely opposite. I had booked a Hospitality Suite, requested a Bay view and was shoved into a room over looking a parking structure. There was construction going on and I was unable to sleep at night. I requested to me moved a couple of times by calling from my room but even before I finished by request, the front desk lady said "No, unfortunately we are completely booked and have a LOT of VIP quests in tonight". She didn't even care to check availability for other open rooms on the system. Well, it turned out the hotel was quite empty based on my previous experiences in seeing the same hotel when it was truly busy. You can tell that from lines in restaurant and pools. Anyways, kids play area on 4th floor is filthy with cigarette bits all over, ping pong table and bats are broken, dirty and insanely out of shape. The foos ball table is broken plastic piece of junk. Just poor hotel management over all. I have been to other Hyatt's in London, Canada, Mexico and India and I can tell with a high level of confidence that this hotel is not even close to what I experienced at these places. it seems to be falling apart in terms of services and amenities.

    We highly recommend the Manchester Grand Hyatt. It was an excellent value for the money. The location couldn't be better! It had the BEST views day and night, and walking distance to EVERYTHING worth doing downtown from Little Italy, Gas Lamp Quarter, the Seaport, and other notable landmarks. The service was wonderful, the rooms perfectly clean and comfortable. We were there for business but stayed a few extra days to explore. Loved the perks like the comped bike and kyak rentals and the food and beverage credits. We intend to stay there again real soon.

    Good afternoon, Our stay with you was not up to par. We were charged a resort fee for each day but when we were at the pool it took two hours to get food and It was impossible to get drinks. Also you charged us for parking and our card to get in and out of the garage did not work. It took three times for you guys to get this fixed so we could get in and out in the garage. The safe in our room had issues and would not close or lock. Eventually, you did come and fix it but it was frustrating not being able to make use of it when we needed it. Also, our Room each day, was not taken care of properly. Toiletries were not replaced, secondary bed was not made. Ironing board and iron not put away. We also were told that it be ate at the local restaurant that we would get 10% off and that never happened. We expect a refund from you for not providing adequate customer service.     An awesome experience. The hotel staff was so hospitable that I stayed here twice this year! My room was always clean and they have now added the complimentary excursions. I was able to have mail delivered to my room as well as complimentary water from the front desk anytime! The view and accommodation were over satisfactory. If you’re ever in San Diego ask for Basel at the front desk he is by far the best clerk and will help accommodate your needs! My husband and I will always stay there!
