    The Hotel Whitcomb is conveniently located on market street and only a short distance walk from Diners, clubs, and the Civic Center. Upon arrival we were greeted by Naveed at the front desk, where he politely and efficiently started our reservation process. My Girlfriend and I were in the City for two nights during our anniversary so we were in search of a Queen size bedroom, but unfortunately there were none available. Hearing of our situation, we were approached by Asal (whom i believe to be one of the supervisors) kindly booked us an entire suite for the price of a regular room and gave us a complementary bottle of wine. The Hotel staff worked tirelessly and quickly to accomodate us during our stay and we are entirely grateful. Needless to say, we had a very delightful experience at Hotel Whitcomb.

    I enjoyed my stay. It was classic, the hotel staff was on point and I felt appreciated as a guest. The housekeeping staff was very friendly and when i asked for coffee and entire pot was sent up to me. I really loved my stay.

    I booked this hotel via Airbnb. The hotel was extremely well maintained with helpful staff. Airbnb sent me lots of great ideas to experience San Francisco as a local instead of being a tourist. What a positive personalized difference!!

    The front office staffs are horrible and try to betray you!

    I was disappointed as I over charged by your staff by the time of checking out. My booking was $1000 for 2 rooms, 3 nights including all taxes and charges. It was reconfirmed to me by the time of checking-in. I and my colleague checked in and checked out separately as we had different flight schedule. When I checked in I asked a deposit of $800 ($500 for room charges + $300 for security deposit) and they said $300 will be refund by the time of checking out. But when I checked out they gave me a bill of $605 adding urban bundle tax and told they will reverse the $195 to bank. I show the front office person my booking confirmation and explain him total charge should be $500 only and asked to pay the refund $300 by cash as I paid cash for the deposit. After taking so much of time he gave me the balance of $195 only. I was running late for flight so I told him that I will request the amount through booking.com and left the hotel. When my colleague had to check out same day afternoon, he has been charged only $500 and got the refund of $300 without any issue. It's very surprising why they charge different rate for the same rooms under same booking. On top of this when I checked in I paid the cash of $800 and asked a receipt for that but he refuse to give a receipt. But when my colleague checked-in later he got the receipt for the deposit of $800, but a different person handled it. Then I questioned why he refused the receipt for me. So the manager lady was surprised and scolding the front office person for not issuing a receipt and not making any note of the deposit received. It appeared like he was trying to cheat on the deposit amount paid.

    This was. Nice place to stay with good prices if you want to explore San Fran and the Fisherman’s wharf area. Tricky to find where to park the first time and parking is very tight so when you need your car they may have to move 3-4 cars to get yours out. But overall a good place to stay.
