Batoche was the site of the last battlefield of the Northwest Rebellion of 1885. It was also here that Louis Riel created his Provisional Government of Saskatchewan. Today, you'll find restored historic buildings, trails, a church and a Visitor Reception Centre. Learn more about the culture and history of Canada's Métis people with a visit to Batoche.
