I'm lay here right now on an absolutely luxurious bed that is so so comfortable. I'm stopping in a suite on the 11th floor and it's absolutely fantastic. Two TVs, lovely big shower. Coffee pod machine, fridge fully stocked with everything you'd need. Great location, valet parking. 12pm check out. You'll never get lost as it's right next to the tower so as long as you can find that on the skyline you'll know where to find the Palliser. Very impressed with the Fairmont Palliser and looking forward to our next Fairmont which is on Lake Louise. Would recommend... just a word of advice, sign up to Accor membership as you'll get some great deals.

We stayed at the Palliser for the night of June 8, 2019 and upgraded to the Fairmont Gold room, which gives you access to the FG lounge. They serve hordueves between 5-7 pm and a hot breakfast in the morning. The food was excellent with a lovely assortment of high end cheeses and lunch meats along with decadent, warm, bite size treats of brie and cranberry puffs or thinly shaved beef on crostini’s. Breakfast was bacon, sausage, eggs and hash browns, along with fruits cereals and tasty sweets Our room, 836, was very spacious and incredibly comfortable. The hotel itself has a wonderful vibe with a newly renovated dining area on the main floor. The staff from check in to check out with everyone in between were extremely professional, helpful and genuine. We can’t wait until our next chance to spend more time there.

After we checked in, we stopped at the concierge desk to ask about nearby restaurants serving vegetarian food. Marina, the concierge, called and got my husband and I a dinner reservation at Ten Foot Henry on a very busy Sat evening. She also ordered a couple breakfast-to-go boxes for the next morning since we had an early flight.

    We loved it!

This place was amazing. We stayed on the gold floor in room 844 and it was great. The room was spacious well kept and clean. The gold floor lounge was a great retreat at the end of a busy day. The food and beverages are top notch! and lets not forget about the service, the conciergeries, in my opinion as about as good as it can get. We stayed at a few of the Fairmont hotels in the last year and we haven't been let down yet. I highly recommend staying with them.

    50th birthday tour of Canada

We are travelling as two couples to celebrate my 50th birthday and our friends ruby wedding anniversary. We have absolutely fell in love with Canada, the people and most importantly the Fairmont hotels. We recently stayed in the Fairmont Copley in Boston - Gold room and it was amazing, so it was a natural choice for our stay across Canada. After the Waterfront In Vancouver, The Empress in Victoria, back to Vancouver, and the trip across Jasper and Banff (Which I will write separate reviews on, as the hotels all deserve their own) we arrived in Calgary. We arrived earlier than planned, and was met by a very helpful member of staff from concierge, who swiftly took charge of our cases. This then followed by a minor hick up on the checking in process. It appeared our booking for 2 gold rooms had been previously amended, which resulted in our room types being changed to a lower category and the name of our booking being amended to my husbands name. The change of name meant I couldn’t check in until my husband arrived after returning our hire car. A massive thank you to Sue on the front desk for speaking with our travel agent and the booking company to swiftly resolve this matter. Sue understood my upset at our rooms being changed, which would have resulted in no access to the gold lounge. It was suggested that we would have to pay again for the gold level upgrade whilst the matter was addressed with the booking company, even though our documents proved we had paid for gold rooms. The level of professionalism and empathy that Sue demonstrated was outstanding. Going the extra mile to make several calls behind the scene and return to the front desk with a solution. In addition your colleague in the gold lounge, made us feel very special with such a great welcome. We truly have been well cared for. Such outstanding customer service on both accounts, a real credit to the Fairmont team. Thank you Fairmont and Sue for our amazing special room. This has truly made the end of our special holiday a memorable one. The Fairmont in Calgary is the epitome of comfort, style and luxury. Where your every need is cared for within both the room and lounge areas. In addition it boosts an enviable position right next to the tower and shops / bars a stones throw away. Unfortunately we are only here for one night, but another Fairmont awaits in Toronto. Thanks again for creating a lasting amazing birthday memory ??
