    A quick thank you to Shane for assisting my husband after a jelly fish encounter. He was professional, quick to take care of things, checked back in later during the day and the next day to ensure he was okay. He was so professional and calm, and we really appreciate it. Also a thank you to Bubba and Tori for taking care of us when a belligerent bully was trying to cause trouble at the pool. They took my report, they were professional, and they made my birthday the next day extra special. You really have a great staff! It is nice to be home again at the resort. We missed our "ohana" during 2020.

    Any trip to Maui is pretty awesome and we had fun. Just want to start off with that. However, you also want to spend an 9 day vacation not worrying about the mundane things. I knew about the cleaning protocols and that there was going to be no cleaning of the rooms and you have to ask for your own supplies, etc. I didn't realize how much it would bother me. You just don't want to spend vacation making up and changing your own bedsheets and washing towels and doing constant tidying on your own. I know I'm going to get a reply that is this is COVID protocol, but my friend staying at Hyatt received daily housecleaning. It seemed only Westin didn't. And as owners, it just was a little less than relaxing this way. The next level of clean also was not. The floors were grimy when we came in and sticky. Everything was just kinda -- meh. Also we went after spring breakers and in first week of May. The pools were still really crowded. We still had a good time, because after a year in quarantine it was fun to be in Maui again -- but not because of the resort. Pros: Staff was nice and it was nice coming back to our timeshare.

    We booked a Tw0-Bedroom Ocean Villa at the Westin Nanea, and we weren't disappointed. Although COVID protections were in place at the resort, they were very dialed in to keeping us all safe, and uniform with preventive measure's. The rooms were clean, well appointed and had everything we needed. Due to COVID, no daily housekeeping, but that was fine. We requested extra items when needed and were brought up and placed outside our door. The grounds were beautiful, and the Ocean was remarkable and wonderful to swim in daily. A great place to hang loose and call your homebase as you explore the island.

    ONE HELL OF A CREW!!! Birthday celebration for my little cousin (when asked what she wanted for her birthday, she said TO STAY AT NANEA) so Nanea it was! I'll be honest, I was a bit hesitant as I know a lot of the travel restrictions have been revised and relaxed so I knew off hand there would be a lot more guests staying this time around than from my previous stay in late October. I took a chance anyways since we all were in dying need of a mini vacation! When we pulled up in valet, I was pleasantly surprised to see the amount of valet and bellmen which almost doubled from the last visit, but even with all the commotion and congestion of cars and guests checking in, they were all so friendly and upbeat! I felt right at home, happy to see that valet parking is back (even though it didnt really apply to my massive overly sized monster truck) but they still accommodated me by having it parked in the front!. Our villa wasnt too far of a walk from parking, I think I enjoy the ground level room better, easier access to the pool and the restaurant. Pool day was amazing, I especially love the fact that a lot of the pool attendants remembered us and the fact that the pool bar was open, I'm a sucker for a sun-day with some LAVA FLOWS!!! It was nice to see that the restaurant was open for breakfast, cant go wrong with some HOT STARBUCKS COFFEE (couldnt get myself out of that cal king size bed early enough to get breakfast) My family and I enjoyed our staycation and couldnt have asked for a better place to relax at, my cousin especially. It may not seem like much to an adult, but for her, she was beyond thrilled that almost every one of the employees we encountered asked about our stay and greeted her HAPPY BIRTHDAY! That left a special and remarkable impression on an 11 year old...I work in customer service as well (not at all comparing to what this staff does on a day to day basis) so I must admit, I am not the most easiest person to please but the staff here definitely did ONE HELL OF AN AMAZING JOB, especially with the PANDEMIC and being close to 100% capacity, not one doubt in my mind, they deserve every bit of this REVIEW!!!! EXCELLENT JOB WESTIN NANEA CREW!!!!!

    Beautiful resort with excellent service

    We enjoyed 5 nights last week at the Westin Nanea in a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit. This was our second time at the Nanea. Valet services met us with great aloha as they helped us with all of our luggage and supplies from Costco. Staff was very courteous and helpful when we arrived and left, having to be creative putting everything in our car as we left for the remainder of our stay in Wailea. The grounds of this resort is simply beautiful. Many of times we saw hard workers keeping it clean and COVID safe. The landscapers spent hours sweeping sand on the path that led to the beach. Front desk staff always friendly and courteous as we got beach towels for our snorkel adventures. Let’s talk about the pool.... we were here during Spring Break. As an early riser I was always out there by 8am, sometimes earlier. I prefer to relax by the pool in the morning. The hotel staff did an excellent job of tagging the chairs if people were not back in an hour. They would bag their stuff and clean the chair off for the next guest. The chairs were spaced out safely. It is NOT the hotels fault if you don’t have a chair. There were many spoiled guests at this hotel who were selfish to save chairs and walk away. Just be patient you will see the staff come around and you can reclaim the spot that was saved. Gym time in the morning is difficult to get in due to COVID restrictions. Again not the hotels fault as I saw many guests giving the poor gym attendant a hard time. I would say most guests I saw was being respectful with mask wearing. Not necessarily when you are physically sitting on a pool chair or at the beach but definitely when walking around the property. I appreciated the over abundance of hand sanitizers all over the property. I felt very safe with their COVID protocol. Rooms were spacious and nicely appointed with new furnishings and kitchenware. Beds were comfortable. I commend the hard working staff from housekeeping to front desk to valet to servers, security, recreational. They are working hard to keep everyone and themselves safe. They provided our family an enjoyable vacation and the comfort of being COVID safe. It is important to note, it is a privilege to be traveling during this pandemic. Anyone complaining about service this time should really take a moment to reflect and be appreciative of these hard workers that put themselves and their families at risk serving others. Thank you Westin Nanea for a great stay. We highly recommend your property and will be back again
