Very unsatisfactory

Darlene Y (Kingman, Arizona) on Apr 12, 2024

I had a reservation. They asked if I wanted an upgrade. I told them yes. Then was told I would receive a text. At 5pm when we returned still no text. I went over to front desk. All they could do at that time is give me a lower room. I then explained not by canopy. Guess what!! Right above canopy! I understand it’s Fremont. Yet really loud, and I was on 32 floor. How come when I stayed on 19 floor in the past, it was quiet. Call and asked for a email of my receipt and room charges. Told a different price on phone by Giovani. Also, had given Monica a $20 tip before all this on Tuesday. Never again D!! Very poor management skills.

COMPLETE NIGHTMARE

sunandseaseeker (washington, dc) on Mar 12, 2024

NIGHTMARE. this place is a heck hole. completely hotboxed with cigarette smoke, pounding music, drunk shouting people everywhere, I think the staff was pissed before I got here, maybe before I was born which is crazy because I'm older than them. I'm currently battling THREE hidden fees totaling $250 that they put on me including, charging a room deposit on a night I'm not booked for, room deposits in general, tripling the fee on my third night when I extended it an additional night, (even though I can book that night for $50 online not $150) and then lying about it (they said room rates triple on Thursdays even though I can see right on the internet that they have not tripled. when I asked them to honor the original rate they refused and had me just cancel my third night instead of honoring the $50 rate that I can see perfectly well online) and charging a surprise $35 fee on a package I had shipped here which they did not advise me of beforehand. Once in the room I will say it is not smoky but there is pounding music as of 3:30 pm that would definitely prevent me from sleeping. My skin is crawling and I might have to burn my clothes later. HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE. Despite my slathering on the niceness they would not waive the package free nor let me book the third night at the base $50 even though I can book it online.

Great Stay!

carmenm198 (MB) on Feb 26, 2024

My husband and I stayed a couple nights at The D during the week in February. Check in was seamless with no line and a very friendly professional lady checking us in. We upgraded to a suite and really enjoyed it! Suite was clean, a little bit of dust likey as it hadnt been used for a few days or so. It was a true suite with a large fridge and large bathroom with 2 sinks. We had good luck gambling here and at the sister casino Circa. We also really enjoyed the restaurants. The concierge booked the steak house for us and managed to get us in at the time we liked even though it was quite booked. He was also vert helpful numerous other times, very friendly guy, I wish I could remember his name, started with a R. We spent a few hours a the pool. It is smaller and not heated but really enjoyed ourselves as we were the only ones there!! It's nice the property has the pool open in February. You can also use Circas pool for free. It is heated and a very neat experience. We did our research before booking this hotel and knew the rooms would be loud. As advertised they were but it didn't bother us. We did enjoy that we were right on Fremont street. I noticed a small problem with my bill when we got home. I emailed the property and within a couple hours they had not only replied but rectified the problem! Great customer service. We would definitely stay here again.
