Breakfast, lunch, and dinner was expensive with small portions. It took forever to get our food. No continental breakfast unless you have a more expensive room. Alcoholic beverages are expensive & small

We chose Hilton Garden Inn in Kauai because it was a Resort Bubble property that allowed you do a 3-day quarantine. Otherwise, all who visit from across the Pacific to HI are required to COVID quarantine for a 10-day period. Given the price and the fact that I'm a member of Hilton Honors, we chose this property to do our 3-day quarantine. Overall the experience was very good. Not the fault of the hotel but our food choices were costly due to the cost to feed a larger family in a COVID situation. The staff onsite are very kind and efficient. The rooms are simple but are comfortable and in good condition. The pools are clean and a wonderful distraction for the kids. and of course the view is spectacular. Would come here again when the opportunity arises.

The room was clean and the bubble program was straightforward, and easy to do. I was able to get through the program with relative ease. I would have liked access to filtered water (like the ones that use a no-touch sensor to dispense), considering water is a basic need and it would be nice not to have to pay for bottled water (Save the environment on plastic also?). The breakfast seemed a bit expensive for the amount of food you got, but the dinner was right on the money as far as price, quality/taste, and amount of food. Overall a very good experience.

Going to Hawaii during a pandemic seems like a good idea but is not that easy. Getting here with all the right test times wasn't easy, flight connections and limited travel options are hard. But you think okay when I get there I can sit by the pool and relax. Well you could if there was chairs to do so, I looked at all our options and this seemed like a good spot to sit tight for three days. Let me tell you I wish I had found something else and paid a little more. The staff are friendly once you get here but call for answers to questions and expect rude responses. The pictures are 100% deceiving. We got a cottage and am glad we did, we had a nice view of a park we couldn't go to and weren't far from the beautiful beach which we also couldn't go to (also not written on the website). If you choose a room expect less, like not having a table to eat on, which is important when you are ordering in and making stuff to eat. Not to mention ordering food from outside vendors is a $50 minimum plus hefty delivery fees. The views are lovely from pretty much everywhere but are painful when you can't even walk to the beach. 4/5/21 they are ending the resort bubble program but with numbers increasing I'd keep the 3 day stay in mind as you plan. You can order food in and buy snacks and booze (which you will 100% need to make it) but if you think oh I can have a drink by the pool you will have to wait till 3pm, and don't miss breakfast it goes till 10. You will not be able to get any food at the resort till 4:00 pm. Even when they open your options are limited but the food itself is good small portions but good (although come with a healthy hotel price) As mentioned before there are 7 lounge chairs and you will be hard press to grab one if you aren't there early but it's a terrible idea to sit by the pool your whole day as there is no shade at all. The whole resort needs a facelift and working ice machines. I guess my expectations were just a little higher...

I thought this for a hilton was a disappointment. First as Diamond members we were treated as we were not. The property I thought was alot to be desired for a hilton, the room we were put in was at best average, the breakfast even with this covid mess was a joke. There was no beach at all to enjoy. For this being a Hilton was not up to par for sure.
