    Got to go to Oceana and Portofino restaurant. Services were excellent. Must ask for them to make it a great trip. Esther really made a special dinner for us and the food was better than expected. Must must eat there.

    This resort is beautiful! The grounds are so pretty and well maintained. The grounds people work very hard! We were sure to tip them as well, as they are often forgotten! All the workers in every department worked so very hard to make our stay wonderful. Everyone was pleasant and happy and did all they could to make our stay memorable. Even with their masks on...you could tell they were smiling! The food overall was good. Not fantastic...but not complaining. Covid definitely changed a lot and things were different I am sure, but overall we were very happy. The vibe is perfect. A perfect blend of fun/party and relaxation. The band at the pool was great! The dancers, and jump rope guys were awesome! The music wasn't too loud- but loud enough to enjoy. The pool is awesome! We are normally beach people, but we very much enjoyed the pool. The palm trees with cement around them in the pool made the perfect spot to stay cool and get some sun while reading a good book. The water was a perfect temp. A little chill at first and then so pleasant to cool off in. Service at the pool was awesome! A big shout out to Benji and Chucky! They worked so hard to make our stay at the pool great! Also a big shout out to Carlos at Oceana. We had him 3 times that week. He always remembered us and was a great server. Especially remembering how much we loved the creme' brûlée's. The Himitsu place was also great. Food was awesome! and our chef was Charlie. He was super fun! And his presentation was awesome! Our kids really liked him! The entertainment team was also hard working. But a big shout out to "Memo"! He was our favorite. Be forewarned...his water workout is fun... but he is the "master of disaster" :) my arms were killing me from all his push ups! But- then I could eat more, so I guess it all balanced out! "Memo" is so fun. Our whole family enjoyed him. Overall- we would defiantly return to this place! We had a very fun week! Thanks to everyone there that made it possible! The UVC agent was so nice also- can't forget her. However, I forgot her name :( I think it was Araceli? Hopefully I got that right? She brought me and my daughters a beach bag with some goodies in it. And brought my son a UVC hat! Thanks so much.

    Let me start off saying that the grounds are beautiful and waitstaff are amazing and go out of your way for you to have a great vacation. It’s during COVID and things are not as they usually are as there is very limited food on the menus and not all restaurants are open every night. This they should let people know when booking as there prices are still high to come here. They are being super cautious and I appreciate that. Here’s where you lost us. This is our 4th time here and we will not be back. This was a luxury resort for adults. It has turned into there lower tier resort Breathless. The music at the pool area is so loud and gets louder as the day goes on playing rap music. Offensive language all day. The average age here is between 40-60. Not our type of music. All week long I have watched people complain and leave the pool area. We were one of those. You can never get a reservation for their Habachi Restaurant. People start lining up at 830 to make a reservation, they are gone in 10 minutes. Only Preferred members are able to make them ahead of time not same day. Timeshare people will stalk you all day every day until you agree to go on there “free” breakfast presentation and then get mad when you don’t buy a $40,000 vacation club. As I said this was our 4th time here but we will not be back.

    We just wrapped up one week at Secrets Puerto Los Cabos, our first time in Cabo. The staff works insanely hard and are doing everything they can to keep everyone safe during these times. Lukas and Tabatha from the entertainment team were so much fun. Highly recommend the bike tour with them, and wear a swimsuit so you can swim at the beach they take you to! Juan, Manny & Charlie were all exceptional bartenders/servers. We did a spa day which was our favorite day, it was pricey but what you would expect from a nice resort. The golf course was beautiful and we played it twice (again, pricey). The staff works their tails off but there were clearly not enough of them to accommodate the number of guests. This definitely seems Covid-related, so I feel like maybe we didn't get the full Secrets experience that we would've gotten in a normal circumstance. The menus are limited right now, but food was pretty good. However, service was very slow at times. We'd wait 30 minutes in line to get an omelette for breakfast some days and another 30-40 just to get a simple quesadilla or nachos for lunch. Very little options available for breakfast and for lunch, which is why the lines were so long... everyone eating at the same place at the same time. Dinner services were also slow - every dinner taking on average 2 hours. Again, the staff was AMAZING - just not enough of them to go around. We visited the Secrets Riviera Maya Akumal location last year, and I have to say that we enjoyed that location more. Not sure if it's Cabo itself, but this resort had more of a party vibe and wasn't quite the quiet getaway we had in mind. There's one pool and it's very rowdy, so if you want to escape that, head to the beach for some peace & quiet. Although, the beach bar got pretty loud and rowdy a few days as well. I found myself wishing for a bit more of a relaxing feel, which Akumal definitely had. Overall, we had a great week.

    Wonderful time in Cabo especially during a pandemic!

    We had a wonderful getaway from California during the pandemic and absolutely loved our visit. The staff and hotel are taking all the precautions very seriously - wearing masks despite the heat and all the work/labor they need to do, providing hand sanitizers everywhere, and disinfecting surfaces throughout the day. Thank you to all the staff members who made this visit one to remember forever. We wish our fellow Americans tourists would also have taken similar precautions (e.g basic courtesy of wearing masks tourists and staff are around )and been kinder to the staff during these times, but we couldn’t control that. I also want to give a special recognition to a wonderful staff member, Nivardo, who works at Portofino. We ate there the first night we arrived, and received the best service from him. In fact, we returned on our last night again and were delighted that he remembered us! We received the same phenomenal service from him and truly thank him for treating us so kindly. We had an absolutely amazing time because of such helpful and kind staff such as Nicardo. One last tip - get the linguini with Alfredo at Portofino - it was SOOOO good, I had it 5 times! Wish I had gotten the recipe because I will be dreaming about it for many days to come. But we hope to return one day soon :)
