Visited for 10 days to meet up for the 2019 Aquax championship, after the racing we stayed at the Atlantis royal towers with harbour side views. Rooms are ££££, alcohol ££££, food is ££££ but it is a premium hotel. With the cost of the rooms you get access to Atlantis aqua park with loads of slides, pools, rapids and lazy rivers all free. It also allows access to look at all the aquatic ponds with sharks, turtles etc. There are add ins you can do, swim with dolphins etc again £££. A lot cruise ships visitors come to Atlantis for the water parks and excursions. Highly recommend but make sure you save a lot of money. Staff are excellent

We visited as a family of 4 with a 3 year old and 6 month old. We stayed here and got the meal plan - having see the price of the water park and breakfasts/dinners - I’m glad we had them pre-booked/included. First up - rooms...nice size, very clean, hot water, cot provided. No complaints at all. Meal plan - great to not have to worry about expense. Good variety and never too busy. On the whole, staff were really friendly and hospitable. The only thing that frustrated me was food outlets in the water park - take away places where you would get a hot dog or fruit salad. They were expensive anyway but there was always a 15% gratuity. I’m all for tipping but I did feel it a bit excessive when I was ordering food, waiting for it at the counter and taking it back to a sun lounger. I had no gripes with it in the sit down venues. Resort credit was great to use towards activities although do make sure it is deducted - it appears at top of invoice so I didn’t question it but thankfully my husband did and was initially directed to it on the invoice but he asked again after some discussion and it had not come off after all. Water vouchers were excellent - great for young kids. Water park was great for the kids. Our eldest had a whale of a time. We thoroughly enjoyed the challenger slides! Dolphin Cay was excellent - forget the dip & discover with the dolphins - snorkel with them! It was amazing seeing them up close and felt far more natural swimming beside them rather than watching them jump. Sea squirts was awesome for our 3 year old. The Dig aquarium was great to venture in after breakfast or dinner with kids. Beach was lovely. Gym was excellent - great size, good selection of free weights. Loads of cardio. Absolute highlight.

I had made some reservations for Christmas week for my daughter and her family online. For various reasons the two reservations were a disaster as booked. Since I was staying at the Harbourside, I decided the visit the Royal to get it resolved. The Angel (Alexanderia Fynes) that assisted me went way, way, way out of her way to solve my problems. It took her almost 1 hour dealing with Marriott Bonvoy reservations to finally resolve the issues. Now when my daughter arrives during Christmas week, she should just be able to enjoy her vacation! Thank you Alexanderia Fynes. The Atlantis is fortunate to have you as a caring team member.

TLDR: I would’ve been better off taking a vacation in my bathtub. Pros: - Food was edible - Not that crowded - Ocean water is nice - Pools were clean - Aquarium had some cool fish Cons: - Most of the workers seem lazy, unfriendly, and tired - There are some parts where there is garbage (cabinets, wood, tires, etc) floating around. Not due to pollution but due to maintenance not caring - Weird algae smell around the whole place - A lot of the tubes in the water park are low on pressure which doesn’t mix well when you are trying to go down a tube slide and getting bumped into the rocks - Half of the restaurants were closed - Some of the slides were closed
