You pretty much get what you pay for here, great place to stay if your on a tight budget. The resort itself is pretty stock standard, with bare minimum in way of appearance and way of transport. That would have to be the major let down, this resort is the further-est from all the parks, so you need to take the travel time into consideration if you have anything booked. Even though this is budget, you still have to total Disney experience and there is nothing stopping you from going to another resort for a look or dinner.

We recently stayed one night here and enjoyed it! The rooms are smaller (two double beds), but were very clean. We were in building 6 - Surf's Up! We were near the Surfboard Bay pool, food court, lobby, etc. Great location! College cheerleaders and dancers were staying there as their championships were going on, so at times it got loud during the day with them practicing, but it was kind of fun to watch and they were quiet in the evening. Our son enjoyed playing badminton and ladder golf over by the Home Run pool and both pools were warm and clean and we had fun walking around the resort looking at the different buildings with the sports decor. Staff was very nice and we would return for another stay!

    Great Customer Service!

We were looking to book another night at the hotel and weren't sure if we would be able to, but Eric from the front desk helped us and was wonderful! He was able to book us another night at the hotel and honor the original room rate for us. We were very pleased with our stay and the staff was so friendly and nice. We will definitely stay here again!

I visited All Star Sports for the second time this week and can only amplify and happily expand upon the enthusiastic review I filed last Spring. Everything at All Star Sports is designed to support your vacation. The food court is excellent. The two pools are sparkling and refreshing (and revive tired legs after a day in the park). The grounds are fun and awe aimed. The bus service is timely and efficient and once again I am glad to report that housekeeping is splendid. And, each member of the cast makes eye contact when you pass and says hello as they smile. The hotel has a merchandise store on premises and the concierge people know the best dining places and go out of the way to help you make reservations. Good enterprises require good people. Disney gets good people. I know this because I just met scores of them that are on the terrific cast at All Star Sports. Thanks for a great week!

    Disney fails to deliver

We've been to disney many times (16th trip). We are also a family of 5, so a Disney trip is difficult since Disney really doesn't cater to large families. Since we are all adults, we have to have 2 hotel rooms. Economically, we have to go with the cheaper hotel options and that's how we ended up at All Star Sports this time. Honesly, I don't think we'll be returning at all. Overall, I love Disney properties because of transportation, magic hours, and the ride to/from the airport. Even so, Disney (between flights, tickets, and room) is massively expensive. Even choosing a cheaper room, you're paying a small fortune and I just don't think it's worth it anymore. Pros of All Star Sports: Disney property. Transportation to parks. Access Magic Hours. You can check in without going to the front desk, using my disney experience (the app, other than that, is basically useless). However, our rooms never did show up in the app and we didn't receive a text for one of the rooms. We still had to call and were given incorrect information (told we had adjoining rooms and we did not). Uses wdwstats website is far better for wait times and park info than the disney app. Cons: Oh, where to begin. Large groups of unsupervised kids overrun the hotel. We were there during the start of cheerleading/dance weekend. The entire play area was overrun by cheerleaders and their parents who were there all. the. time. Paper thin walls: I don't know why they cut grass early in the morning, but they do. Also, we heard kids outside starting around 7am or so. Also, we could hear the people in the room next to us coughing and arguing. Rooms: we requested adjoining rooms. We understand that it's simply a request. However, we were told no less than 3 times (including the day of our stay) that we did, indeed, have adjoining rooms. We did not. Additionally, the hot and cold water were reversed on our shower. Annoying at best, dangerous at worst. A/c is horrible. Preferred rooms: supposedly, we had preferred rooms (we paid extra), but we were still about a 5 minute walk to transport and the cafeteria. I don't know how preferred rooms are defined. Buses: crowded and a PITA. Disney will combine all star hotels on one bus. Why? Seriously. After spending hours walking, standing for 20 minutes waiting for a bus, and then having to stand on the bus to get back to the resort is a drag. And we went during a slow period. Extra Magic Hours: This is more a review of the parks, but I'm going to throw it out there because it's part of the disney experience. We went to Animal Kingdom for the magic hours, Expedition everest was broken down for hours. This means all the other rides are packed. Epcot: no Test Track and lots of construction and some rides are gone. Magic Kingdom: Splash Mountain closed, Big Thunder was temp closed for a few hours, this made wait times for other rides well over 90 minutes. Ridiculous. Hollywood studios, Rock and Roller Coaster broke down when we were on it. Sure, they give you a fast pass (to everything but slinky or the new star wars exhibit, you know the things you really want a fast pass for), but not worth it. So I question whether Magic Hours are worth it anymore. Oh, and when something breaks down, they honor all fast passes so there's a wait anyway. It's extremely difficult to get fast passes to the popular attractions. If you wait until you arrive you face hours of waiting, even during the slow periods. Good luck with Avatar and Galaxy's Edge, 7 dwarfs ride, Slinky Dog, etc. I heard if you arrive hours before the park opens, you may get into the star wars attraction, but who knows? Front Desk: We had 2 questions and neither were resolved. One, we called to ask about adjoining rooms when we realized we didn't have them. The response: "I'll put in a request". Don't know what that it is, don't care, but we never got adjoining rooms. We had other issues with the a/c and noise, but we gave up. Secondly, we had ordered Amazon prime pantry food. Amazon says they delivered it. We never received it/were not notified by hotel. Front desk referred us to luggage. Luggage never answered. I call front desk again and they say, "I'll put in a request". What? We walk to luggage who first denied they have the deliver, then calls other hotels, then checks their area again and finds our delivery. What a waste of time. Again, ridiculous. No birthday button here: we were there to celebrate a birthday. I don't know what that means to Disney, but when I called to make the reservation, they said they'd have something for us. Maybe it was just a button? Who knows? We got nothing, though. So why even mention it to us? Food Court: Ugghhh. Overpriced and the food wasn't even hot. Overall, Disney fails to deliver on this hotel. Disney is an experience comprised of transportation (parks and the airport shuttle), hotel, and parks. At it's most basic, a hotel should offer a clean, quiet place, comfortable place to sleep, no matter the price point. That doesn't happen here. I mean, come on, at least have the bathroom water temp labeled properly. I'd also love to see more options for larger families. This is the 1st time I've ever been so disappointed with Disney. I'm so irritated, I won't be back. Given the horrible hotel experience, crowded buses, rides breaking down, overpriced food, lack of ability to experience everything, rising prices.....we're done....and we're sad. Come on, Disney, we were so counting on you for another great experience.
