    Nice Hotel With Beautiful Views

    We stayed at this hotel as just a place to crash and it far exceeded expectations. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean. They had a very nice breakfast (better than most other residence inn’s in my opinion). The pool was pretty clean. The views around the hotel were spectacular.

    Only one laundry which was a long way from the room. For some reason we ended up with a disabled suite (2 bedroom), the bathrooms really need an update. Pool was great and they had tennis courts that you can use anytime. Dogs allowed and there were heaps of them!

    We had a reservation at this property for several months, yet when we checked in at 3:45 p.m. a room was not ready for us. We had reserved a 2 bedroom suite and she tried to give us two rooms with a connecting door right on Cook Street. We knew better than to take that deal. We did get a room in building 4 and when we arrived in the room is was run down and dingy. The sofa was so dirty and holes in the arm, the stove top had been used and greasy, but only wiped off with a wet rag and you could draw pictures in the grease on top of the stove. The bed was so saggy that we had difficulty sleeping at night. The sheets were never changed for our 6 night stay. The room was never dusted or vacuumed our entire stay. By the time we left, you could draw pictures on top of all the furniture with the dust that had accumulated. There were black hairs on the sill of the shower that remained there our entire visit. There were dead flies in the window tracks. We had a dishwasher but no pods or dish soap to wash dishes. Our dirty dishes remained on the counter for a couple days before we finally put them in the dishwasher, but couldn't wash them as there was no soap. The toilet paper was the worst ever, and there was no lotion or shower gel. The shower was never wiped down and the shower door was a mess by the time we left. The overall condition of the property wasn't much better. The pile of leaves, dirt and cobwebs on the stairs remained there our entire stay. The glass door to the breakfast area was covered with hand marks, and was never cleaned our entire visit. The patio furniture was never dusted. We tried reaching out to a manager, but were told that no manager was on duty and William would be in between 6 and 7 that evening. We tried calling the front desk at 6:20 and were told that he had been there but was now gone. They would try to contact him and have him call us. We never received a call. We discovered that this property is not owned or managed by Marriott but rather operates under a licensing agreement with Marriott. Marriott Corporation should be ashamed to put their name on this property. I am a Lifetime Titanium Elite member and have stayed at a lot of Marriotts over the years, but this was without a doubt the worst ever. We will never stay at this property again.

    At the Residence Inn by Marriott you usually know about what you’re going to get. The real difference comes with how good the free food is, how clean the hotel is, and how updated it is. This hotel did a great job at all three. I would definitely stay here again. This also walking distance to an Applebee’s and driving distance to other restaurants. That are very close by. To add to it the staff was very friendly and helpful.

    This Marriott did not accept prepaid Confirmation from Hotel Planner

    We booked 13 rooms through Hotel Planner at this Marriott for our daughter's wedding. We printed the 13 Confirmations, with the dates and money paid, and directly called this Marriott the next week to make sure we had the correct number of rooms. On the day after the wedding while at brunch in Palm Springs with our family and guests we received a frantic call from our son. He was back at the hotel ill, and they were banging on the door telling him he had leave. We called the desk and they told us we needed to speak to the manager. The manager treated us very poorly. We gave William, the manager,our Confirmation. He said they didn't receive the payment for our last night. He told us it was our fault for not booking directly through Marriott and we needed to be more "diligent". He had us wait while he tried to figure this out. We lost time with our family, and spent several hours inside on our last day in Palm Springs, William told us we would have to pay again for our room or leave and he would give us a "good deal".We paid again. He never even apologized. Still disappointed.
