    Overall a nice property

The property is new and everything was clean and unblemished. We slept well. The location is quiet, but be aware it is in a residential area, not walking distance to anything. Not to a convenience store or any food outlet. Either arrive with provisions as you will have a kitchen or have a car. During COVID, not sure what the Uber situation is in Palm Springs, but nationwide, the wait times can be fairly long. A few things I think could be done better: * As I entered an empty lobby to check in, I approached the window. The agent didn't greet me, but immediately scolded me to go back and follow the foot path and read the sign I had missed. So as a longtime Platinum Elite member, I went like a scolded child back to read the sign that said to wear a mask (I already had one on) and I kind of stood there not really sure what message I had missed that made her seem so offended. Then she said I had permission to follow the foot steps through the empty lobby back to her window. Not sure what to make of that. Probably the most bizarre greeting to a hotel I ever had. * The view of the golf course over the pool was nice, but during the hot weekend, there were many families who didn't socially distance in the smallish pool at fairly early hours and woke me up. *First day we asked for late check out as Platinum Elite. Nope. So we booked another night...they were too full for a late checkout but not to full to sell me another night. Okay. *Second morning, request for late checkout was honored, but housekeeping knocked on the door with a Do Not Disturb sign, and when I said we weren't ready, they called a little while later on the phone. Then they said they'd check with Guest Services when I said we had a late checkout...they should check that stuff first before bothering people with the Do Not Disturb signs repeatedly. *Because I like to check my charges on the way out (unable to do it on TV screen), I waited at reception to get it on the way out. Some big long ordeal in front of me, so I was told no, I can't have that on my way out. It would be emailed to me. It has't been emailed either. I've never been told I won't be checked out before. I understand the concept of just leaving, but with housekeeping not having my request noted, I wanted to make sure I wasn't improperly charged for my extended checkout.

My daughter and I stayed at Staybridge Suites March 6, 2020. Our room was beautiful! King size bed. Large flat screen TV positioned so you could comfortably watch it in bed, kitchen with marble countertops and it was very, very clean. They serve a beautiful buffet breakfast every morning. Wonderful staff including Benedicte, Martha & Shaquill. My only complaint was a loud knocking sound through the course of the night. We stayed in Room 424. We shared a wall with the Mechanical Room which shared a wall with the elevator. The noise was coming from the Mechanical Room because I stood outside its door and listened to it the next morning. When we checked out I mentioned it to Benedicte Keller, Operations Manager and she said that she would immediately have her maintenance crew look into it. That is the response any guest would appreciate. I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel definitely has a newly built feel to it along with the warts that accompany any new venture. I really liked the kitchen, living room, bedroom layout which cleanly separated each area. All the appliances were modern and in excellent working order. The check-in/check-out process were not very smooth. An indication of teething pains. Also be aware that the location really requires a car to get to any restaurants or shops

The staff is very unwelcoming. Every time I came to the front desk I felt like I was bothering them. I asked for a late check out at Noon which was told I was all set. Of course housekeeping was knocking om my door at 11:10 AM. When I checked out at Noon the front desk agent asked why I was leaving late and if I asked if I could check out late? I let her know I was told it was ok and had even called again to let the front desk know housekeeping was knocking on my door for the second time. I let the agent know that there was hair in my sink, hair in the bathtub and hair on my pillow. The room was dusty and the soap dispensers in the shower were empty. She said all of those things were out of her control but she will give me 5,000 points. (of course she did not follow through). I am so disappointed I wasted my points at this hotel.

We tried to check in at 2:30 but were told room was not ready, but everyone around us got a room. When we checked in, the room was good. Around 7:30pm two dogs in the room next to us growled and barked and barked and barked. Call the front desk 3 times and finally went downstairs to desk to ask for a different room. If you suffer from allergies please note that every floor has pets. Cleaning was interesting because it is called light cleaning. This consists of making the bed and changing out of the used towels and emptying of garbage. The stairways had never been vacuumed during our stay. I would not recommend this hotel or stay there again. Palm Springs has a lot of boutique hotels for the same price. Very dissatisfied with this hotel.
