We have been to this hotel a few times now and each time it gets better and better. The trip we are writing this review for was the absolute best trip out of all the trips we have experienced at this incredible hotel. My wife has been here 4 x and I have been 3 x) My wife usually posts this reviews under FivePrinces but noticed that our March trip was missing from her reviews. Not sure what happened but since she just recently posted our September trip, she was not allowed to post another review even though it was a separate trip.....tripadvisor rules I guess?? My wife and I stayed in Casa Agua and Casa Fuego this trip. We stayed 7 days in Agua and 3 days in Fuego and loved them both. Casa Agua is a private oasis of jungle, river and serenity. We loved our room with the steam shower and jungle view. We even had visitors to our balcony each day who entertained us by swinging in the trees and playing. It was an awesome thing to experience! We read a lot of comments in some of the fan groups that agua was too far away from everything but I want to say it most definitely is not too far away! It is just steps away from everything but is a bit sheltered due to the path one takes to get there and the lush vegetation. We would walk every morning to the lobby to get coffee at 6am and it would take approximately three minutes....not my definition of far! We LOVED it! Agua has it's own private gym with spectacular views of the river and jungle. Rooms are the same layout as what we have had in other casas except for the INCREDIBLE steam shower in the bathroom! That in itself sells the room type! AMAZING!! We would use the steam shower at least twice a day. Perfect way to start your day and end your day. Also, the lava rock tub on the balcony was perfect! It is surprising at how many hotels actually don't have tubs on the balcony or terrace. We had actually decided for this trip which was without kids that we would go to an adults only resort but one of the top two requirements we had was to have a tub on the balcony and let me tell you, there are not a lot of hotels that offer that! We ended up deciding to go back to Hotel Xcaret as everytime we looked at other hotels, they just didn't seem to measure up. Hotel Xcaret set the bar very high for us and so far nothing we have looked at comes close! For the last three nights, we upgraded to Fuego to see if all the hype was really worth it. Answer - YES! It is almost impossible to describe this. You have to experience it to know what I mean. The only way I can describe it, is that everyone in the resort, no matter which casa are treated exceptionally - 5 star quality customer service, food, drink, accommodation etc. but when you are in fuego, you are treated like royalty. The service blew us away. Our room in fuego had a partial oceanview and river view. It was incredible. The jungle views and river views are really breath taking but the oceanview was our favourite out of all of them. We didn't realize how much we loved looking at the ocean until we experienced it. Pictures of the jungle and river are always so incredible but the ocean provides more than just a great view. It allows you to mediate, relax, unwind....The rooftop pool was a huge highlight for us. The view, atmosphere, food and service was incredible. Someone was always around to make sure we were taken care of at all times. It was incredible being pampered this much! My wife is the energizer bunny and was always wanting to go exploring around the hotel or off to one of the parks or excursions but while we stayed in fuego, she did not want to go anywhere. That is how good it was! The fuego restaurant was excellent food and service! It does live up to the hype of being one of the best restaurants at the resort! We loved both Agua and Fuego. It would be a touch choice to pick which one we liked better. I think if we could combine the Agua steam shower and rock rub on the balcony with the Fuego rooftop pool and restaurant, it would be absolute perfection but really either one is going to give you the best vacation ever! In our ten days, we only experienced excellent service, friendliness, amazing food and drink, comfortable beds, great room amenities and tons of fun with all the activity options. We found a great balance this trip with downtime at the hotel to explore and relax and then busy time at the parks and doing the excursions. We went into the trip without too much of a schedule and played it by ear as to what we felt like doing for the day and it felt so much more relaxing and enjoyable doing it this way. My wife likes to organize and schedule things relentlessly and even she agreed this was the way to go! We loved this trip so much that as soon as we got back from this one we booked another with the kids. We did go back 5 months later with the kids and have returned from that one too (wife wrote a review under FivePrinces). We love this place so much that we are planning our next trip back as a couple again!

    Our Butlers were the best!

Rolando Dichi and Kiyoshi Takahashi were amazing butlers. We never stayed at a more beautiful hotel. We have never had a butler before and Rolando and Kiyoshi always made us feel comfortable to ask for assistance. They decorated our room for our anniversary, always had what we wanted in our room, filled our jacuzzi, even found popcorn for us for the football game, made reservations, and were simply SO nice! I also wanted to mention our pool concierge Reno. He gave us many tips and information about the Xcaret universe. He always had a smile and welcomed us to the pool area and asked us about our day. Bernicia was one of the waitresses. When we told her it was our last day, she hugged us and told us that she would miss us and appreciated that we treated HER nicely.

Hotel Xcaret Mexico was truly a luxury, all-inclusive resort and stay. Our bellhop, (Ollijer?) was unbelievably helpful; he gave us a tour and layout of the resort, helped guide us around the resort for our stay, and gave us a very informational tour of our room and how everything worked. The room was truly incredible, equipped with a jetted hot tub, shower/sauna combo, and an outdoor balcony that had an additional tub and a hammock to enjoy. The room and mini bar were stocked well and serviced daily, and included plenty of toiletries, beverages, a Nespresso machine, and a perfect mix of snacks. The restaurants and bars were all authentic, delicious, and fun, with a variety of dishes, cocktails, and tasty libations to cater to every taste. The pools and beach were something out of a dream. The beach view is incredible, like nowhere else in the Caribbean Sea.And the spa! The spa was incredible. Not to mention, the resort itself is beautiful. The All Fun Inclusive is everything you could want included in a room rate, since 7 theme parks are included. We were only able to go to 2 parks, but both were fun and left plenty to do for our next stay. What really sets this luxury resort apart from anywhere else in the world, is the service. Every person we encountered was friendly, polite, accommodating, and extremely helpful. From the wait staff, bar staff, and service staff, to the lifeguards, concierge, room stewards, and maintenance staff, everyone said hello and made my husband and I feel very welcome. I can't say enough amazing things about our stay at Hotel Xcaret!

We are a wedding group here for my sisters wedding. Beautiful hotel and landscape. unfortunately Staff is unprofessional and misguided by poor management. We have had many bad experiences that take away from the positives of this resort. My wife and I have been accused of complaints when we are well travel, educated, respectful and business owner who have many employees. These accusations have upset the whole wedding group. For someone who has been to Mexico close to 20 times we have never been so inappropriately attacked. The pretty pictures don’t out way the service, management, and cost of this resort.

Our fourth time to Mexico we decided to treat ourselves and stay at Hotel Xcaret for 10 nights with a swim out pool. We stayed in one of the Casa which was near to families and children. Being a childless couple Xcaret Hotel even offered us to move into a different room on our second day, but to be fair, there was so much space and it was so quiet we decided to stay (plus it was right next to a bar so that sold it for us!). The staff were very helpful and friendly, there wasn't anything that was too much trouble. On our first day, we decided to swim in the river on the resort and unfortunately as I was swimming into shore, I didn't realise how shallow the flooring was and I scraped my knee on the rocks. Fortunately when you are in water on the resort, you are never too far from a lifeguard since they always seemed to pop up from nowhere. So I was quickly helped to a seat and Rafael fixed me up while I drank a Margarita (for medicinal purposes of course!). Unfortunately the wound needed stitches so I went to the Lobby later that afternoon, I was introduced to Antonio Garcia (Customer Service Manager), this gentleman was an absolute legend. He helped alert the onsite paramedics and helped translate into English what they were saying, he even ran to get my husband who was in the hotel room while I was getting my knee stitched. Even after that, Antonio contacted me everyday to see if my bandages needed changing or if I was feeling ok. I felt very well looked after and in safe hands. Luckily, the injury didn't hold me back from enjoying our holiday and the next day we walked to Xcaret Park, then Xel the next day cycled to Xplor, then arranged to go to Xel -Ha. You can walk or cycle to either Xcaret Park, Xplor or Xenses. Xcaret park is about 15 to 20 minute walk and you have a change of encountering a number of animals and wildlife on your way (take bug spray though as mosquitos can be bad). The food at the resort was amazing, I would thoroughly recommend Los Cuevas (My fav), Cantina Los Faroles (definitely try the cocktails and the Mexican Crickets with Guacamole), Xin Gao (the desert is amazing!), La Trajinera (best lobster on the planet) and if you can afford to treat yourself, definitely try the Ha Restaurant for an exceptional journey through some of the local Mexican ingredients. By the way, if you going to stay at this resort, please please say hello to Wilbert and Henry at the bar to the right of the triangular pool near Casa Viento. He is an amazing Mixologist and really knows his alcohol. All you have to do is say what spirits you like and he will make something truly special. Or even ask for his very own Wilbert Margarita or a pink bikini! You will not be disappointed :-) As for our room, I absolutely loved the handcrafted work that is on display in the room, and I loved the little woven baskets left on our bed at night. The room is spacious and very clean, the beds are also extremely comfortable. The only thing I would say (and this is being really really picky), is that the map of the resort is not very detailed, especially if you are staying in the Casa Viento area (The buildings cover the map area. It may be better if they could make a complete ariel view of the resort as this would help. One thing I noted from staying in this resort is that Xcaret like you to go and explore things for yourself, they also prefer to avoid listing any events or activities that happen and the times so that it adds to the "in the moment" or impromptu experience and surprise. This isn' a bad thing, but as a result, make sure you take time to relax and explore the resort, because you can easily miss secret surprises especially the wildlife. Hotel Xcaret - You have an amazing resort and hard working staff. Please can you ensure you acknowledge Antonio Garcia (customer services manager), Wilbert (Barman), Henry (Waiter) and Rafael (Lifeguard) for their hard work and excellent service since they made our holiday perfect :-D
