    We usually love this place and visit every year, minus 2020. This year had a few mishaps and seems like service kind of went downhill a bit. Rooms weren’t as clean, beds weren’t made great... kept touching my feet on the mattress at night. We went as a family, my parents with a king sized bed and my brother and I with two queens but when we arrived they had booked the wrong room and placed my brother and I in a room with a king sized bed. It was eventually fixed. We also found out people on the Lindo side we’re getting the same exact perks as people paying more on the maya side and taking reservations that should have been for maya customers. People were wearing masks below their noses and feeding the coatis despite many signs in every language saying not to and the workers not telling them to stop. A coati actually stole a burger out of my brothers hands as we sat at the beach for lunch because they allow guests to feed them by hand. That being said. We love this place and will be back. We always meet amazing people who work there. Armando in the breakfast and lunch facilities is amazing. He is so nice, funny and always on his game! He is amazing. Filiberto at the pool bar is awesome, we see him every year and he always recognizes us and takes the time to talk to us. Veronica a server at the pool/pool bar is so sweet. She is kind and takes time to help us with our Spanish. She is so efficient and great! Last but not least, Maria at the snake bar is absolutely fantastic. She is on her game, she is so kind and sweet. These people are the reason we come back year after year. They make our experience so wonderful. They deserve so much recognition and are some of the hardest workers but funniest and kindest people I’ve ever met. We love them. We will be back, hopefully when things get back to normal.

    This vacation has been fantastic, with all the entertainment people with Karen, Joshua, and all the bartenders at the snake bar and pool bar with David and Filberto making drinking fun and relaxing and having a great time with these people and everyone else.. it was amazing to be here and would definitely come back again.

    The staff was awesome. The shows and games were fantastic thanks to Franco! He was our favorite because he would make us feel very comfortable. Definitely would recommend to friends and family. Great for couples as well.

    Originally our reservation was for the Lindo, but we were upgraded to the Maya which was a present surprise. THe checkin process was a bit long, but worth it when we arrived to our room, We had a beautiful jungle view with birds and all sorts of animals. Travelling with my toddler, the pool was important which she loved (2 years old). Theres also 3 parks(reservation required due to covid as it is regularly sanitized) & another outdoor park that doesnt require a reservation by the spa. The food was great, better than other resorts we had stayed at. the only thing i would say is that one day there was no buffet available for dinner, which is annoying as we had the toddler and wanted to grab and go but a restaurant was avialble to quickly cater to us. They offer free covid testing which is nice. The hotel was pretty empty & lots of amenties are closed due to the lowered capacity but overall i think this was an amazing! I would definetely return!!!

    We arrived April 30-May 5, 2021. Check-in was terrible, we had to wait for about an hour, there were around 6-7 families waiting as well. I was tired since we got to the airport at 3 am and got to the hotel at 3 pm. The resort property is clean and nice, food was average but 5 restaurants still closed, the beach was nice, but there was lots of seaweed. Rooms were large and clean, but they do not have a beach view at least that's what I was told, evening shows are ok. I saw a lot of drunk teenagers they were loud, running in the hallway and breaking glasses. The staff is extra nice especially "Delfina", it seems like they are well trained except upper manager a woman name ANA THE DIRECTOR. We check out at noon and got a pass to hang around until our ride arrives, they cut the bracelet off. We went to get something to eat near the main pool and this woman ANA looked at us and called security to escort us out. The Director ANA never bother to ask for our pass to make sure we were the resort guests. I felt so miserable, we pay so much money to have a good time at the resort since it was our anniversary. I was so upset that I went to the front desk to complained and ask for upper management, but because she is the director they don't provide any information and make you wait for about 15 minutes. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHO IS ABOVE THE DIRECTOR
