The property is a maze + food poisoning

This place is a labyrinth, and everything takes forever. We wasted our vacation waiting on shuttles and walking around the property trying to find things. No, a map didn’t help. I also got food poisoning from the buffet. And I mean.... true food poisoning. It was bad. I’ll spare the details. There’s also awful WiFi throughout. And since it’s such a huge, convoluted property, no WiFi (and no phone signal) really sucks if you’re trying to find your family. You can’t contact each other.

Stayed at the kantenah for one week as a couple. Hotel grounds are lovely, has a beautiful beach and pool. Amazing seeing the tropical fish swimming around your feet when in the sea, snorkeling was so much fun. Good choice of restaurants and cocktails. Rooms were good, clean and mini bar restocked daily. All hotel staff were amazing, really friendly and accommodating. Generally a good service. Then all the wildlife!! Just wow!! We loved seeing the lizards by the pool etc. Downsides are the buffet food was cold a lot of the time. Some areas of the hotel were a bit dead at night and felt like no atmosphere but that could be just the time of the year we went. All in all would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit mexico.

    The perfect holiday.????

We have just got home from an amazing holiday to Mexico. We stayed in the Kantanah section of the resort, to be honest the room was a little dated, but it was clean and had everything we needed. The fridge was stocked daily with drinks and peanuts. The food at the complex was lovely. The Thai and Ribs and co were our favourite. The beach was beautiful, with hardly any seaweed, and the weather was perfect for the whole two weeks. We travelled the last two weeks of November. To the people that made our holiday special, the Pop team.. A big thank you to Salvador, Diddier, Abraham, Igor, Diego and Ianko. (Plus any one I forgot to mention)We loved the aqua fit, Zumba, Pop fitness and beach games. The evening parties were great fun too, including the White Party and 80s night. It wouldn’t of been the same without any of you. So thank you. Another special thank you to all the staff at the Colonial Swim up bar, we loved the shots made by Gilmer, Filaberto, Alberto, Daniel and Jose. Again these guys made our holiday so much fun. One downside of the hotel is the lack of a nightclub, although there’s a band every night in the Colonial lobby it does get a bit repetitive, and is not to everyone liking. Please bring back a DJ. We all had a fantastic time at the Palladium, and will be returning, so see you in 2020. Viva Mexico..

We have visited Palladium resorts 4 times in Mexico, 1 time in Dominican Republic and 1 time in Jamaica and we will be back next year. We have stayed in the Royal suites in both Dominican Republic and in Mexico and enjoyed our stay in both the regular rooms and the Royal Suites.

Just awful. Stay anywhere else. CHECK-IN: If you're driving, be ready to self-park and then haul your luggage over to the lobby. No valet and no help there. The check-in process itself took us 30 minutes. It would have taken longer, but we basically walked off and found our room by ourselves instead of waiting for a shuttle. STAFF: Exceptionally rude. And this is coming from an easygoing people person. Every single person we had to interact with was rude. I speak Spanish, so it was not a language barrier. They're just rude. ROOMS: Old, cheap, uncomfortable, and dirty. Scratchy stained towels. Rusty iron and moldy ironing board. The complimentary "snacks" is actually just one tiny packet of peanuts. What a joke. PROPERTY: It's basically an old apartment complex and they tried to turn it into a hotel. The resort overall is so spread apart, so you have to either walk or wait 10+ minutes to get shuttles any time you want to leave you room. WIFI: We couldn't get any signal at all for the first day. Second day, we finally connected. Did a speed test and it was 0.5 mbps Download and 0.20 mbps Upload. Not really usable. Obviously the staff was rude about it and told us if we wanted to talk about WiFi, we had to take a shuttle and go to the lobby. They wouldn't even talk about it on the phone. So weird. PROS???? (None) I really tried to figure out why anyone would stay here and came up with two possibilities. One, if you have kids, I guess the all-inclusive is a good deal since meals for a large family could get expensive. But you could easily stay in an AirBnB (or any other basic hotel) and get a better experience for the same price. They just make you think this is a good deal because they call it a resort. There's nothing resort about it. My other guess is foreigners who have super low expectations of what Mexico is like. To people expecting a third-world country in shambles, this must seem pretty good. As someone who lives here, I can tell you that this place does not represent the beauty and quality that Mexico has to offer.
