Loved the Fairmont San Francisco

Barry C (New York) on Apr 12, 2024

What can be said besides everything was perfect. If your looking for an older, historical property with modern convenience, this is one place you should go at least once. Staff were always attentive, restaurant and bar were outstanding, room (and view of the harbor from the tower) was very comfortable. Location is great, inclduing at the intersection of all of the cable cars.

Big Corporate Hotel With Service

Thomas V (Oakland, California) on Apr 12, 2024

We were well taken care of here with an excellent room with a splendid view of the Bay. Lots of room to spread out, which we appreciated. It's a big corporate hotel with lots of room for conferences, but we were here to visit friends and it was also a good location for touring and sight seeing. Good service. here.

Great Place for a Honeymoon

Mark W on Apr 11, 2024

We stayed in a Golden Gate Suite with panoramic views of the bay and the city. Incredible! I arranged to have the florist spread a path of rose petals from the door to the bed and they made a large rose petal heart on the bed. There was a bottle of Martinelli cider for us with chocolate covered strawberries. I had a driver pick us up at the airport. Both he and the car were great. The concierge staff were fantastic. My wife was blown away and we had such a great honeymoon.

Faded glory not fit for the 21st century

Coastal23503010475 (Cancun, Mexico) on Apr 09, 2024

Beyond faded glory, dirty and unpleasant smells it really should be closed and properly renovated. Check in is slow and painful as there are not enough staff. Finding the elevator is a treasure hunt in itself and the elevators feel like they will fail at any moment. The room is adequate if you like something out of the 1950s that seems not to have been refreshed at all. The hotel is a metaphor for sad San Francisco, now a dirty, deserted and profoundly sad but once beautiful city. If you do have to travel avoid the Fairmont.

Great location to experience the city, limitations to unwind and relax at the hotel

SebM251 on Apr 08, 2024

The hotel is very well located and centralised on top of a major hill. The room and bathroom were large enough to accommodate 4 people. Usual and classic confort of the beds. Fairmont spirit could be improved in the main lobby and Spa services are rather limited.
