Lovely stay!

I would highly recommend staying here for a nicer, more quiet, chill time in SF. Good for families, couples or business. You can walk all around, great restaurants nearby and entertainment. 6-7 min. walk to The Fillmore.

Not worth the money then fees then taxes

Latrice S on Mar 29, 2024

Room not worth the $. Lobby is beautiful but room was just ok. Bathroom needs a door! A comfortable place to sit in the actual room would be nice. Balcony absolutely not worth the extra money as it is comically tiny. Please beware that this place charges $40 per night in additional taxes and fees.

Gorgeous and amazing hotel, a hidden gem in SF.

I almost don't want to leave this review for fear of the Hotel Kabuki becoming too popular. A gem of hotels, with a sublime attention to detail and the loveliest staff. Cannot wait to come back here!!

Wonderful hotel!

Lovely, unique hotel in a great location for walking parts of San Francisco. Staff and service excellent, rooms well cared for and comfortable. Lobby areas worked really well for our group gatherings over the wedding weekend. A real gem! We will be back!

Nice common areas, but a noisy room made for bad sleep

escaperoomescaper (Earth, Texas) on Mar 21, 2024

First, the good: * The lobby is beautiful and spacious, with lots of little areas for hanging out. I appreciated the free coffee bar and cold / hot / soda water tap. * The gym has a lot going for it. Lots of good options for cardio and strength training. The punching bags were a fun surprise. The running treadmill wasn't operational, but everything else was in good condition. * The location is great. I love Japantown, and it's nice to have a variety of food and shopping options nearby. If you're visiting the city, definitely consider staying here instead of Union Square. * The shower had plenty of hot water and water pressure. * The white noise machine was helpful (but necessary...) The bad: * My 4th floor room had a window facing Laguna. The cross-traffic from Geary was extremely noisy late into the night. Things were mostly quiet after 10 or 11PM, save for occasional loud car or motorcycle. Even with the white noise machine, I struggled to get sleep the first couple nights. * It was very easy to hear my neighbors. I could hear my next-door neighbor talking clearly, even though I don't think he was being particular loud. It didn't get to the point where I thought to complain, but it did make me self-conscious about how much noise I was making. I hear that things are much less noisy on higher floors of the main tower, so watch out for that.
