My son and his family were in a 2 bedroom in building 3. It was AMAZING. My wife and I were in a 1 bedroom in building 1 and it was equally amazing. The daily housekeeping was superb. Both of our families left a tip for the housekeepers at the end of the stay. The food selection and quality was excellent. (We won't be able to eat much now that we are back home if we want to loose the weight we gained there, lol). We LOVE the fresh fruit daily, the omelet station, vegetable selection, along with the themed dinners selections. We frequently took our Sole buffet items and sat out at ASU for the view. We did order from ASU, and ate at Fish Deck 2 nights. The pizza was excellent, as was the Jerk chicken off the grill. Kudos to your foods. My wife and I also had an incredible dinner at your sister resort, Beach House restaurant Kitchen 218. The staff was incredibly happy, helpful, and engaging, from grounds crew to food service folks, to sports equipment desk to front desk. We actually said that it seemed as if many of them had gone to Disney's classes on how to treat guests. We got to know several of the wait staff personally having been there a full week, and having 2 small grandchildren. The grand kids are staff magnets as everybody loves little people. The beach prep daily was really awesome from umbrellas up, towels on chairs, etc. The smoothie bar was a HUGE hit with my family. The swimming pool is very large, wonderfully shaped, with a large island in the middle, and swim up bar. We also used the sister resort, Blue Haven, for 2 breakfasts, followed by the complimentary Kayaking, and one very good lunch there. Kayaking from Blue Haven resort to the mangrove island is a must do. We saw a baby Caribbean Reef shark, sting ray, iguanas, and tons of turtles. We can not find anything to complain about, and will recommend your resort to friends as a tremendous place to stay.

Just got back yesterday and we had a great time. During November there was a lot of couples so that made it easy to chat with others and make new friends. The entertainment staff is great (Luigi, Mario, Jean pants, Marcus, Davidson) they get you drinks while sitting on the beach and get you dancing at night. The resort is clean and luxurious. The one downfall is there isn’t too much of a night life, they have a dj some nights but don’t expect a party scene, it’s more relaxing. Another downfall is that the buffet is very small. It’s not huge like most resorts, but you will always find something you like. The beach was really nice, we are not early risers but we always found beach chairs. Also this resort includes 2 sister resorts if you want to venture out and see other resorts and try their restaurants! A must try is the jerk chicken by the beach and fish deck at night! Overall I would say this resort was great and I would go back!

The vacation was wonderful. The Alexandria was a nice resort. Our room was very grand. Phillippina was very helpful with checking in the resort. We had asked for an upper level room and waited to get it. The resort itself is very small and initiate and the food was ok. They need a little more time as an all inclusive. They need to spice up the buffets for dinner. Marsha and Jessica were very helpful with dining. We also tried the seafood restaurant which was excellent. All the employees were very friendly and helpful. The sister properties were also excellent. Enjoyed the trip and would return.

Fun time, beautiful beach, but resort needs some improvement

Let me start off by saying, we really, truly did enjoy our time in T&C. My review is just my personal opinion on the pros and cons we experiences during our stay! The beach at the Alexandra is beyond beautiful. The water is so clear and blue. We traveled Oct 5-9 2019 which we came to find out was "dead season". Literally going through customs and finding our ride we booked was the fastest, easiest experience I've ever had in a foreign country. I did extensive research before and after booking this resort. We wanted all inclusive as we were celebrating our anniversary, so our options were Alexandra or Beach House. We chose Alexandra for the fun and party atmosphere. Pros: gorgeous beach, strong drinks, amazing food at Fish Deck (everything from the apps to the entrees), tasty smoothies at the smoothie bar, pizza was good at the stand, jerk chicken was awesome, loved having a washer and dryer in our room, we had an oceanfront suite and the room was gigantic with a huge balcony. I loved that they gave us free aloe in the room, that came in handy for my sunburn! I left a note for housekeeping asking them to leave extra water and beer in the fridge and they did! The Caribbean burger (i think that's what it was called) from Asu was delicious and my husband enjoyed the fish tacos! Loved the towel animals they put out on the pool chairs, so cute! Welcome drink and cold towel at check in was much appreciated. Nightly entertainment was fun from what I heard (I never made it out late enough for it lol). We received a card and a bottle of red wine for our anniversary which was tasty and very kind. There were hardly any kids at the resort since it was low season which was awesome for us! Mikey at the bar was a fun time and made strong drinks! Turks beer is actually really good (and I'm not normally a beer drinker). The chocolate bar they had out one night was SO GOOD. Cons: Bartenders would walk away for a good 20-30 minutes and leave you waiting for a drink, then nonchalantly come back and dilly dally around with other workers and weren't attentive to guests. Most of the time there was only 1 bartender at each bar (2 bars total). Service all around was hit or miss. I found tipping even just a buck helped. The swim up bar area is missing tiles and needs some fresh new paint all around it. I waited in line for 30 minutes to get 1 smoothie bowl with just 2 people ahead of me. (There was only one person working and I actually started laughing after 20 minutes, it was that ridiculous). I am not a picky eater, but the breakfast and lunch buffets were hit or miss also, but there was always at least 1 thing I liked, so I never went hungry. Making a reservation at the beach house restaurant for a decent time was ridiculous (called the morning of our anniversary and they only had a 9pm reservation available- mind you, this was LOW season). I had to to remind the front desk twice that we were celebrating our anniversary (I only did this to surprise my husband). The day we arrived we ordered conch fritters at 1pm in the afternoon from Asu and they were out (how do you run out of something that your island is known for?!?! lol). We also overheard another guest order a veggie burger- also out of that. Our "oceanfront room" was definitely oceanfront, but it was the farthest from the resort and tucked back behind another room (see photo) so the view was only directly out front with big trees/bushes blocking. The biggest disappointment was finding out at CHECK IN that the Blue Haven was closed for remodeling. No one informed us after booking we'd have one less resort to go to. Bummer. Overall, we had a great time because we weren't expecting this resort to be first class. We made lots of friends and enjoyed drinks at the swim up bar and the snorkeling/conch tour was so fun! That is a definite must!! If the Alexandra takes some of my critique into consideration, this resort could definitely be top notch! I'm giving this resort 4 stars because the "cons" i listed, although honest, were not enough to make this trip "average". We are very laid back people who just enjoy having a good time. If you take anything away from this review, it will be that you're aware this is not a Sandals or Couples Swep Away style all inclusive resort or a Ritz Carlton. This resort is perfect for a couples or friends getaway, where you just want to party and booze it up. If you're looking for fine dining and high class liquors, this is not the resort for you. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. ?????
