We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Top notch entertainment on at least 4 nights - very professional and we are blown away by the talent (dancers/ singers).Good animation throughout the day. Grateful to Pedro who kept us informed of what was happening next and very helpful.

the lovely staff here makes you feel like your second family.. good food, great staff, great everything. wonderful place to visit and stay with family, La Parrilla lunch was enjoyed daily. Ladies at the lobby bar worked very hard to keep all of us morning coffee drinkers happy. anyone looking for a really refreshing morning coffee, ask for cafe frio with a bit of milk. Yum.

Keep in mind this is Cuba a socialist country with little access to many products and services. The beach is 5 star , pool is great with lots of chairs and shade rooms are clean and overall service is good. At the bar if you’re looking for anything else than rum forget about it. This is one of the top 3 resorts in Varadero they are a co ownership between Spain and Cuba make sure you choose one of these or you might go home with lots of not so good stories. I say this from experience as we have been to Cuba about 10 times over the years

Got back on the 10th of April after a wonderful week here. This is an amazing resort. The buffet staff was amazing in every way. My birthday was on the 8th and when I came back from lunch the door to my room had an happy Birthday banner, the bed had balloons tied.to it with flower pedals and a bottle of rum was left on the table with a wonderful note. Every day the room was clean and the towels had a special design I loved everything about this resort. Even the gardening crew were so friendly and took time to talk to you when they saw you. The food was amazing as well We heard there were shortages before we went there but happy to report that this was not the case at this resort Fresh eggs for omelets, lots of meats, fruits, vegetables, pasta....everything was good The only disappointment was the children's slides and pool was down for repairs. We were there with our grandsons and they were looking forward to it, but they had lots of fun in the pools, ocean and beach and they want to go back. We are already talking about going back. We have been to several other resorts in Cuba and this one is the best.

Our family of 10 spent a week at The Iberostar Selection in Varadero, Cuba in April 2024. It was my first Cuban holiday and I went understanding that standards, relative to other countries, may be less but my experience exceeded expectations. The resort was gorgeous and the beach incredibly beautiful. The entire staff was outstanding and provided excellent adult programming throughout our week; the property, rooms and gardens were in excellent condition and always kept extremely clean. There seemed to be no shortage of food or drink and the café off the lobbly had the best cappuccinos I've ever had! Alcohol flowed freely and was not watered down. The food in most of the Á la carte restaurants was disappointing but the Japanese was so much fun, it didn't matter! The Cuban Restaurant was delicious, the Buffet was consistently good but my favourite was the beach Barbeque... the view incredible! The talent in the evening shows was impressive and fun but they could have done more for the children earlier in the evening. A family dance in the disco from 7-8pm, or even late afternoon, to include the young children would have been fun while utilizing an under-used space in the resort ... even once or twice during the week. Because we had 2 young children in our group, the main reason I chose this resort was for the Pirate Ship Pool for the children as well as for the Kids Program; the Pirate Ship was closed for the entire week and the kids program was almost non existent so this was a disappointment for me. We did 2 excursions: a day trip to Havana through Havacubvision and the Cayo Blanco Catamaran Trip ... I highly recommend both as both were highllights of our holiday!! Cuba is a cash only society so bring lots of USD (the primary currency) for off the resort purchases and $1 US bills for tipping everywhere. One person in our group did have a towel disappear from the beach chair so I presume this occurrence must be a reality, hence the $30 USD towel deposit fee... be cautions! Overall, we had a wonderful holiday, LOVED the staff and the resport so would highly recommend the Iberostar Selection, Valedero.
