Wonderful stay in this hotel.I was staying with my family and it was fantastic.The service was first class ,,the staff very friendly and attentive ,mention Yessi and Liset are fantastic. The meal is amazing .Super recommended.??????????????

Everything was fantastic. Great staff very clean. Small easy to get around lighting is really good. No shortages currently. Liset is amazing. Drinks are excellent. Great value. Hotel close to downtown only ten minutes we highly recommended. We will be back

Overall Sol Varadero Beach resort is a nice hotel, that has lots of different options to offer. The one tip I would offer is for those wanting to grab a nice spot on the beach is to head out early in the morning as there seems to be limited number of beds based on the hotel's occupancy, given that some of them are in a bad shape. The entertainment team, lead by Osviel, made each day fun with the different activities on the beach and by the pool. Osviel went the extra distance to make sure everyone is having fun and gathered multiple participants throughout the beach. We had fun playing beach volleyball games.

Visited this hotel recently. The hotel itself isn’t too bad but it could be so much better with a few tweaks. The thing that lets it down the most is the food. The food is awful. It’s warm at best most of the time and sometimes cold. the reheating of rice is a big Nono and is probably the reason why for only the second time in 40 yrs of travel I was ill. There were unhygienic practices which need addressing by management such as the same cloths been used to wipe around hot plates and then used to wipe on tables and chairs and tongs been used on raw chicken and then used on cooked chicken and pork. Choice in the buffet wasn’t great and I found myself sometimes walking aimlessly around looking for something to eat and ending up with ham and cheese. The ala carte was a bit of a joke as sometimes it was the same food but served instead of getting it yourself. I did ask one night if I could have the lobster like the couple on the table next to me only to be told that they were premium customers and it wasn’t allowed. I had to settle for the set menu where the minestrone soup was exactly the same as the Cuban soup I had the night before. It was also noted that the first 2 glasses of red wine were ok but the third that was served was awful even though it came from the same bottle with same label. On speaking with other Brits they had noticed the same. The saving grace is the beach and it's great and the man with the hat who serves in the beach bar there was always happy and smiling which is more than I can say about some of the other staff at the hotel who appeared miserable. I got the feeling that as TUI are pulling out we were profiled as the staff knew from the colour of our bands that we were Brits. On one occasion my other half went to the bar and there was no one there and she was made to wait. 5 French Canadians then appeared and were all served before her. She protested to staff who continued to ignore her. In the end she walked away in frustration. There is also a shortage of glasses and I have never been served a beer in a tiny jar. I have the pictures. There are lots of French Canadians at the hotel and some were very loud and irritating. Other Canadians apologised for the behaviour of their fellow countrymen. They also bring their own huge drinking containers which is not a bad idea given the glass situation. We had to wait a week before we could change our beach towels as there were never any available or the place was closed. The swimming pool is very shallow and not really a swimming pool as you can't swim in it. All the time we were there I never saw anyone use any of the tennis courts so you could replace one of them with a pool you can actually swim in. The room we were allocated in the hotel was on the top floor. It was a decent size with a separate shower room and toilet. Balcony was good. There were a few issues with the room which are wonderful TUI Rep Tatiana got sorted. The only thing that didn't get sorted was the awful smell from the shower so we kept the bathroom door shut but to be fair to Tatiana she did offer to move us. We booked 2 trips through TUI. The first was the trip to Havana and although it was a long day and the weather wasn't great(storms the night before and torrential rain) we still had a good day. In fairness given the devastation I think the trip should have been called off. Never the less Ray our tour guide was brilliant. His passion for his Country was evident and he gave some great insight into the past and present. Thanks Ray I really did learn from you. On the trip you go to a rum and cigar shop. I did purchase some rum and it turned out it was the cheapest place I saw my rum. He also pulled out the stops when the classic car company that they usually used pulled out due to the inclement weather and got us some cars. That was brilliant fun and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The only downside to the trip was the two restaurants we visited as the food was not good. Other trip we did was the Boat trip which included the dolphins. I had my reservations prior to the trip but I thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip. Worth doing. I think the friends we made during this trip will give us the most lasting memories so thanks to Deb, Alan, Carol, Debs, Rich, Gail and Marty. Pleasure meeting you all and thank you for a great time.

Beautiful beach ?????,we have been delighted .My family and I will definitely repeat the experience.The service is very good ,the staff is very friendly.The rooms are comfortable .The food exquisite, mainly in the Italian restaurant Parole . Highly recommended. Incredible resort
