Have been here many times and enjoyed their clean facilities and service. This property is amazing! Everything is clean and you will not find a better value anywhere on the beach. Why pay double, triple when you will just be outside all day? The rooms are slightly dated but kept up well so that's not really a worry. I continue to enjoy the Seabreeze Restaurant at Sunset and the short walk to Eduardo's Beach Shack (look it up) next door. Now on to the major difference I noticed having visited this property many times... The staff are not who they used to be. I see the same people working so turnover must be lower but they are lacking the energy, spark and positivity they once had. What used to be viewed as people who really enjoyed their jobs you now have people who seem uninterested and beat down and even nasty at times. Example 1- Front desk said at check in that service was every other day to to COVID and they would provide towels if we called or on an off day if we wanted service to just call housekeeping. Fine, I get that, COVID changed a lot so no worries. Called to request service and the gentleman who answered the phone was annoyed I requested service and would see if they could get to it today. I told him the front desk assured me if I wanted it that it would happen. Service did get done but then I got a message and later a call to see if they needed to come in the following day when I was scheduled for service. Well...yes, why would you even need to call. Gentleman on the phone was annoyed that I said said yes I wanted the service. Beach Food and Drink- My gosh this is bad. Would not get checked on for hours when we wanted drinks or food and when we did order it was 30-45 minutes. And if you give them a credit card the guy had it all day and we had to hunt him down to get it back. Seemed to only have one, maybe two people working that. Just poor and slow so if you want hot food or a frozen drink that was not melted go to the bar directly. Bar- no smiles, no interaction, just unhappy people rushing to push out drinks. Very impersonal. Towel Hut- They were checked out, and annoyed if you wanted an additional towel or happened to forget your room number. I have known at least one employee working there for years and he has totally lost his spark. Very impersonal and at times you interrupted regular conversation between employees who would toss you back your card and then back to their conversation. Every visit here seemed like you were bothering them. A few times even said they didn't have any towels or that towels were on short supply. COVID precautions- no worries here, everything was clean and the indoor mask policy didn't really impact my trip because I was outside most of the time. Everything as I mentioned before was very clean. Oh and the COVID test to return to the US is around 125.00 on site but 50.00 across the street at the mall. Just a little piece of information to save you a lot of money.

Thank you Holiday Inn. It pays to be an IHG member. We went for my wife’s 50th b-day. We stayed in the Palm Tower and were upgraded to a room on the 7th floor, about the middle of the building. We had a great view of the beach/ocean. The room appeared newly renovated. Everything worked well and it was clean. The staff was attentive and pleasant to deal with. They also reserved us a palapa for the entire week (free for IHG). I would also Highly recommend renting a cabana at the far end pool. We rented #1 ($30 daily) twice. Comfy cushions for the loungers and a comfy bed. #1 is at the end of the walkway steps from the beach and an unobstructed view of the water. The hotel is in a fantastic location to walk to many, many restaurants. I’ve seen some of the negative reviews but we have zero complaints. Your not going to get the amenities of a Marriott or Hyatt but we had everything we needed. We don’t spend much time in the room anyway. I’d rather spend extra money on excursions / nice dinners etc. we had no problems checking in either. I room was not ready until about 3:30 but check in is 4, which is what the website says. It’s nice to get in early but not a big deal, we went to the beach for a few hours. Every restaurant we went to was fantastic. The Vue rooftop lounge across the street is awesome. Best lobster bisque I’ve ever had. Aqua grill, Giannis, Amore Mio, Pure Ocean are all great and within walking distance. Great trip, thank you. (Second photo is from cabana #1).

We just returned from our first trip to Aruba. Our stay at the Holiday inn resort met our expectations. Holiday inn is not a five star resort and it’s not the Ritz. So I think expectations need to be set. We were looking for a reasonably priced beachfront resort with good service. We booked an ocean front room directly from holiday inn. The reservation came with a complimentary palapa on the beach. We arrived early and the check in process was smooth. They had a room for us on the 2nd floor but we requested a higher floor and they quickly gave us the 4th floor. They even offered to move us an even higher floor in the further tower (sea tower) the next day (because none were available the day we arrived) but we were happy with our room on the 4th floor. Our view was gorgeous. This was supposed to be a relaxing getaway and I spent much of it on our room balcony or on the beach. The hotel itself is a little dated as are the rooms but still quite satisfactory and spacious. Service is amazing. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Housekeeping is every other day but will come daily if requested. They also asked what time worked for us for housekeeping to come and were able to accommodate that. The front desk is also helpful if you have any questions or need guidance. Towel hut staff were great and always helpful. Tips: Book a palapa if you can but there’s also plenty of space on the beach. Bring along inflatables that you can use in the water. There is Açaí place on the beach a short work over in the playa Linda resort called Eduardo Beach Shack and their Açaí bowls and smoothies are amazing. Go for early lunch at the Pelican Nest restaurant on the Pelican dock in front of the resort when it opens around 11 am. It’s not crowded then. The food is amazing and the view is unbeatable. Room service dining does not many options but they are good for breakfast. We ordered in breakfast a few times and ate on the balcony. Food was pretty decent and prices reasonable. The view unbeatable. Other restaurants to try: The old Cunoco House is 150 yrs old house and serves amazing traditional foods. Gasparito also has traditional Arubian food on the menu and features art from local artists. Zeerovers is an oceanfront casual dining place where you can choose which fresh catch you would like and sides and they will fry and prepare it for you right there. All were amazing! Cons: Rooms a little dated as I mentioned. We tried the sea breeze restaurant on site and were not impressed with the food taste. It was bland. And overpriced for the quality. They have you wear a band the whole time for security reasons. I understand why but I wish it was removable so we can remove when sleeping because it can be annoying (I hate wearing jewelry or bracelets when sleeping). There are also way too many cards they give you to use. A separate card for the room, a card for towels, a card for room charges, a card for discount on water sports with the company on the beach in front of the resort... it’s a bit much. It would be better if one card can be authorized and scanned for all these purposes.

    Great resort and entertainment

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Holiday Inn Aruba. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Beach was perfect. Towel hut staff and bellmen very helpful (especially Kyle and Tico). Marion at front desk too. We also loved the comedy show they offered, we didn’t know about it before arriving, it was truly excellent.

Came with my wife for our first time in Aruba for our honeymoon and it wasn’t the welcoming we expected. I give credit for having a partial ocean-view but thats all. We werent all inclusive we almost spent around $150 for the meals a day. It took us almost 45 min to check in. We met other couples spoke highly of RIU so we had to check-out and get charged $80 for early departure. In the other hotel we were treated highly with respect. Bed had flowers and some love ballons. When we arrived at the room they called us and made sure that everything was fine with our satisfaction. When checking-out from HI I received a long list of bill which didn’t make any sense They were helping two guests at the same time on the front desk. This is the last time we will ever have a stay at the holiday inn Specially after what we saw at the other hotel and services. Holiday Inn - thanks for making our honeymoon so special
