This hotel is NOTHING like the photo's! Not even close. It's not pink, the tennis court is covered in weeds, and it not even attached to the hotel. When I got there, I burst into tears. This was supposed to be my trip of a lifetime, my retirement treat but instead it looked like a 3rd rate dump in Spain. Paint peeling off the external walls and really run down. I do like to go into detail so I apologise if this is too long, but I would like to give you a complete picture. ROOM - We were made to wait for 2 hours without a drink as our room wasn't ready despite it arriving later than the given check in time. We were given room 110 but they didn't tell us where that was, so we spent a while looking around for it. It was down a cut off passage. The room was on the ground floor and the balcony opened onto the pool area. There was a large bush right in front of it so we did not have any kind of view. The room was ok, large with 2 x king sized beds. There was a private bathroom, but the toilet was so close to the wall that anyone of a large disposition would not be able to get a leg either side of it! It took at least 10 minutes to get any hot water through and the taps rattled when you switched them on full making one hell of a racket. The kettle and fridge were fine, but the cups were expresso size and too small. The only "cups" you could get a hold of were small paper ones which burnt your hands. The pillows were comfy but the bed cover was scratchy. GENERAL - The pool does not look like the picture. It is a concrete monstrosity with a rough floor that cuts your feet. It is 2 ft deep at one end and 20 ft deep at the other but is cut off by a rope in the middle, so people don't drown!!! The surround is all plain grey concrete. The attached bar area is ok, but I swear many of my cocktails never saw alcohol! They actually ran out of tonic on our second day and on the third day, ran out of glasses!! The one (and only) saving grace is the fact the beach is on your doorstep and despite the appalling hotel, you can't change the sea! It was a lovely stretch of white sand and turquoise water. BUT it was very rough and I would not recommend this for children at all. RESTAURANT / FOOD - This is subjective as everyone has different tastes and perhaps we were spoilt as we had just come from a Tui cruise ship where the food was out of this world. However, whilst it was edible it was hardly exceptional. Buffet style with a soup / salads, hot meats / fish but very little vegetables. Sweets were always cold cakes and with cold custard??? There was an a la carte restaurant although no-one told us about this and we found out from another guest. However, when we got there, it really wasn't worth it. I had steak and it was all gristle. If you have a bird phobia - DO NOT GO HERE!!!! There are dozens of birds and they come into the restaurant and take your food if unattended. It was like a scene out of Hitchcock’s "the birds"! SERVICE - If I got smiled at half a dozen times, I would be amazed. Desiree, the events manger was lovely and friendly, as was Gabriel the barman and one tall thin waitress who was always dancing! The rest were as miserable as sin and if you had to work there, you probably would be too. ENTERTAINMENT - Just the same thing day in, day out. I must have heard Bob Marley's entire repertoire! Actually, that is slightly unfair as there were a couple of good singers but all in all, just music whether by singer or DJ. All in all this was one of the worst hotels I have ever been to and I go on holiday at least a couple of times per year.
Extremely poor

We have been to Barbados several times the hotels were lovely staff very polite and accommodating. This hotel is another thing. Please don’t waste your money it will put you off Barbados for ever. The best thing about the hotel was the sea view. Can’t swim there always a red flag on the beach no comfy sun-beds around the pool plastic hard beds no cushions Please read all the reviews carefully before you spend your hard earned money the photos of the hotel appear very nice they are very misleading. The staff are a miserable lot and in need a very big shakeup the hotel very tired in desperate need of full refurbishment cheap is what you get Rant over

I stayed at this hotel for a week. The location was great - not far from Oistins or St Lawrence Gap, those with mobility issues may have difficulty due to the lack of lighting, uneven paths and pot holes probably bit to far to walk to these destinations for a person who cannot walk to far. Taxis are always on hand and bus but the buses are only main roads not down side roads where this hotel is. The room was lovely, clean and spacious with a large fridge to keep things cool. We was all inclusive for food and drinks, unfortunately the variety of food was not great became very repetitive again the alcohol for the spirits had either ran out and not restocked or they simply don't have it. (Talking , standard vodka, rum ect). The beach was beautiful with sun loungers and umbrellas with non motored water toys, all free. The staff was very hit and miss, some friendly some not even saying hello some didn't even smile back. This hotel needs TLC but I have noticed that this hotel has had some upgrades recently of outdoor furniture if this has been eccoed throughout the hotel then this hotel will be very good standard.
Special Leap Year birthday

Having visited this hotel pre COVID, it was good to see that very little had changed. We had requested a specific room and this was allocated to us which was a good start. Everything from the pool, pool bar and restaurant was exactly how we remembered it. I had a special birthday while out there, and everything my husband asked them to do, they did, which made the day really special. I would like to mention in particular Sanjean,Douglas and Ashley in the restaurant. The evening entertainment was varied, in particular the steel pan act were very enjoyable.
You can’t be fussy

Now you’re in Barbados it’s hot and all you want is to lie by the pool or beach, if that’s the case this hotel is fine but, If you want a good meal selection then you won’t get it here, food tastes good but small selection and be aware when a tray (it’s buffet) runs out it can take a whilst for it to be refilled as it’s not actively monitored, If you want a good drinks selection then you won’t get that here, as no big brands, only 10 cocktails available (3 of which are daiquiris) and no sparkling wine, and you can’t buy either it’s just not on site. In the evening the bar staff is one person and they have to serve, collect glasses and wash glasses so be prepared for a little wait. Now the pool isn’t actually in the sun a great deal as very shaded and as for Sunbeds only 50% have a mattress the remainder are hard plastic so not really comfortable and limited parasols The beach is nice, sunbeds more comfortable and you can get parasols Entertainment quite plain, dj or singer(s) Staff are nice, customer service isn’t their priority and it increases if you avoid using the omelette station Cleanliness is good for the room but average for the pool area, one bin by the pool but wasn’t emptied from Saturday to Monday so assume no one employed for that role on a Sunday. But if you’re only in Barbados for the sun and your not fussy then this hotel is fine
