    I really liked the resort! Our room and view was spectacular. The food at All restaurants was delicious. The desserts were the best I’ve had in Mexico. The workers are so nice and helpful. The downside for me was the pool chairs at the pool were so close together that you couldn’t turn them with the sun! The beach is beautiful and huge but again you can’t turn the beach chairs because you are confined to a small roped section on a large beach. The chairs are not allowed out of the roped area which is ridiculous because the beach is huge and wasted! We did enjoy this resort very much if it wasn’t for those issues it would of been a 5 star!

    Excellent service and always with a smile! Wonderful people who can never do enough for us! Special mention for our waiters Abiel and Susarey at the Market Cafe who made our trip a memorable one. Also thank you to our waiter Armando at the Blue Water Grill and his brother Elias at Nobillio restaurant!!!! Excellent staff!!!!

    Honeymoon Consisted of a Beautiful Resort & Amazing Butler (Diego), but EVERYTHING IS AN UPSELL!

    My husband and I celebrated our honeymoon here at Secrets the Vine and our experience was simply wonderful. We stayed in a Preferred Club Junior Suite Ocean View King and the room was BEAUTIFUL. It was so spacious and had a beautiful view of the ocean and the bay. The food at all of the restaurants was very delicious. The best part about the Secrets staff was our butler, Diego. HE IS AMAZING. He was so detailed and attentive to our needs. He would text daily to ensure we were happy, satisfied, and to find out if there was anything he could get for us. Diego really made us feel like royalty day in and day out. My big downfall of this hotel was the constant 'sell'. We would be eating breakfast and someone would come by and ask if we wanted to come back to the resort in the future and if so, we should sign up. Finally, we decided to tell Lisa we would attend this 30 min tour.This quick 30 min meeting turned into an hour an a half of multiple salesmen trying to push us to spend THOUSANDS of dollars to purchase access to a vacation package. This was the LAST morning at the resort and ALL of our time was wasted being hardballed about a HUGE purchase my husband and I did not want to make. We told them no repeatedly and then they'd send someone else over to us. They then sent us to a QA lady who tried one last push. She would not stop. Finally, she got up for a moment and my husband and I literally had to SNEAK OUT to get away from her. It ruined the last memory of Secrets for me.

    We recently visited Secrets The Vine! We stayed 6 nights. 5/6 nights we ate at Bluewater Grill. The service was great! Javier and Jorge were amazing! The food was delicious. We will definetly be going back!

    10th stay since opening ...A+ 10+ Our Cancun home.

    We go to Cancun 2x a year and have been traveling to Cancun since 1992 as a couple of 31 years. We have made Secrets The Vine in Cancun our Cancun home every spring and fall. A bright spot in our yearly schedule of life. The hotel is the tallest high rise in Cancun and very well appointed . Our home is on the 28th ( top floor ) and is named the Pomerol suite. We recommend you ask for it UNLESS we are in residence. Customer service is excellent. We travel worldwide and I am not always easy to please when it comes to service(unfortunately) but STV has managed to exceed each stay and this time I thought this is as good as it gets. It helps to be a regular guest as they know our likes and expectations. These are always exceeded. I can not complain if I do not communicate what I need when I am on vacation. Here are some wonderful staff/friends we recommend you cross paths with when you stay at Secrets the Vine. Mr. Sorin- Hotel Manager. Runs a perfect first class hotel and respected by us and his staff. Ms. Beatriz Diaz- Room Services Manager- A delight to see each visit and we know she is behind the scenes assuring we leave the hotel rested and content. Felix- Beverage and Restaurant Manger . A joy to see each stay and always greets us like family and his direction makes each of our dining experiences superb. Carlos- Restaurant and Beverage Manager- we were so glad to see his return and it was a truly a bright spot of our trip to get updated on his life He is in our thoughts until we see him in April. Mr. Alvaro- Head Butler: We had the pleasure of receiving his and his butler staff service as causal. This is our 4th stay with Alvaro receiving our requests and forwarding them to all parties. He is first class and a perfectionist. Mr Alvaro is a friend and the ultimate professional respected by us and his staff. Kudos to him. Sergio- Our personal butler during our stay. He did not miss a beat. Unpacked luggage, delivered coffee and pastries to wake us up. Checked on us frequently between sunup to sunset. A real joy to get to know. I absolutely knew my every request would be met without a question. PERIOD. Chef Danton! He prepared two meals for us personally and they were two of the best meals I have had in my life. He has been a part of our stays for many visits. Ms. Susary in Market Cafe: She has been a part of our visits since visit number 1. She is a truly kind woman. She brought us two cups with straws for our stay on her dime! She had all our lunch and breakfast requests ready each day as well as our favorite table. In the interest of not writing a 5 page review I will now list some staff who we enjoyed visiting with and her provided us first class service: Alberto- New Preferred Pool Butler. A PERFECT fit for the job and we look forward to seeing him next visit. Eric- Former Preferred pool butler now a preferred butler. We are very proud of this young man and he is an example of the successful career you can have at this hotel. Nebbolio and Blue Water Grille- Javier Cua, Arturo, Ithiel and Chef Maribel. We enjoyed their service 2 nights in a row. Mr. Paul Castillo- New Chief concierge ( replacing our dear freind Krystal Martinez who has is gone to a new Secrets property in Cancun) Butlers/friends- Arturo, Eduard and Diego Market Cafe: Abiel, Cesar Bernabe, Oscar, Yancy, Paola and Jose. We had a chance to visit with these friends. Lobby bar: Heyde and Luis So let me end this with a special experience we had this stay. We were able to entertain some friends from Dublin who were staying down the road at Le Blanc. We had drinks followed by a specially prepared meal by the top Cancun chef..Chef Danton. Filet Mignon precede by many delicious courses and topped off with a special made cheesecake by Chef Maribel. The service from Javier and Arturo rivals that at any upscale restaurant in Houston. It was a 40th celebration for a dear friend. I mean nothing disparaging about Le Blanc ( we have stayed there and had a wonderful stay years ago) BUT our friends , who were staying at Le Blanc did say they will join us at Secrets the Vine next time. We were not surprised as we have found our home in Cancun at Secrets the Vine. Let me end b y saying that EVERYONE made us feel like family. The food was delicious, the accommodations upscale and atmosphere first class. That does not just happen and we thank everyone at Secrets the Vine for adding joy to our lives. Until we meet again in April 2020.
