we are going on Sunday April 14 from Toronto via AC. Just an FYI, you do not need to pay the visitor tax (I called AC and they confirmed)...it's already included. Call your airline to confirm. I will do a full review after our trip. I am looking forward to this trip.
Our Favorite All-Inclusive Resort

Everything in life is relative, meaning, your experience depends upon your point of view and context. My perspective regarding Park Royal is that it's my favorite place to visit. We go back every year. We love Park Royal because the ocean out front is the world's largest swimming pool. I love the water, and this is the best all-inclusive property for free diving and snorkeling. The aquatic wildlife is abundant, there are coral reefs a stone's throw from the shore, and if you are a skilled swimmer, you can even dive down to the remains of a wrecked airplane. I've snorkeled at least a mile north along the coast. The pool never ends! While swimming is my favorite hobby on vacation, my wife's favorite hobby is reading. She sits on the edge of the deck overlooking the ocean and reads. It's a beautiful, stunning view, and the massive cruise ships parked out front add to the wonderful vacation vibe. If swimming and reading do not appeal to you, I would not recommend Park Royal. The ocean-view rooms at this hotel are very nice, and those views are wonderful. The food is good and the service is excellent. At night, the sports bar is fun. We enjoy everything about this resort, but if you're interested in fine dining, great nightly entertainment, and lavish rooms with lots of bells and whistles, you might consider other options. That is also true if you love the beach. There's not much of that at Park Royal. But if you are a swimmer, snorkeler, diver, etc., Park Royal is a no-brainer. If you enjoy adult-only pool bars overlooking the ocean and quiet time reading a book, then you might fall in love with Park Royal like us. We are always so excited to go and so sad to leave. We often spend many hours looking at condos and planning our retirement years. That stretch of land from Park Royal to San Miguel is my favorite place to be. Notable mentions: Thanks to Jorge, Miguel, and Antonio for great service. Keep it up!!
