Horrible Incident
Robert M on Mar 23, 2024
My sister Barb, RN, reserved a 2 room suite #4754 on Mar11 for herself, her brother (me), and her elderly father. We arrived late afternoon, and explored the mall next to the Casino, pushing Dad in his wheelchair. We enjoyed a nice supper and dinner show in one of the Hilton restaurants. In the very early morning darkness an individual arose and used their phone as a flashlight to visit the bathroom. The bathroom is tow rooms. The outer room had a light switch, the inner room with the toilet did not. The individual struggled to find the switch for the inner room. The outer room was bathed in light. A small indiscriminate button near the sink was depressed. The person heard a noise similar to a fan. Little did they realize that to their rear left they were raising a large picture window screen, opening the entire bathroom to public scrutiny. The sleeping areas were dark, and the individual did not notice the situation, and continued to disrobe and bathe and toilet. None of the occupants of the suite had ever encountered a situation such as this, or a hotel room with a peekaboo window into the bathroom area. And not just a peekaboo. But rather an ultra large 4’x6’ window. This created a life changing period of embarrassment. One wonders why in God’s name anyone would design and implement such a peculiar feature. What possessed this hotelier to cause such conditions? Why were there no warning signs or notations on the window or the switches? Why weren’t these flaws eliminated after previous complaints. No doubt this is not the first time this happened to unsuspecting customers. Barbara, RN, is well aquainted with personal injury lawyer Geoffrey Fieger of SE Michigan international fame. She has not discussed this with him yet. Does the Niagara Hilton have anything to say about this? Is an apology forthcoming? Can we receive restitution or recompense? Robert M. Awful hotel

I would give this hotel zero stars if I could. Writing this from my boiling hotel room right now. Stopped over here on the way to Buffalo. We are traveling with our 3 year old daughter. We got to our first room (after waiting an hour in line to check in) and the room absolutely reeked of chlorine. Normally I would just suck it up but it was so bad my eyes were watering and I didn’t want my young daughter breathing that in all night. It was 10/10 bad. After an hour waiting in line again, they offered to move us rooms. I wish we stayed in the chlorine room. The next room they put us in is 28 degrees and will not go down. We’ve turned off the thermostat as they directed and currently have 3 fans going. I am almost in tears. It is so unbelievably hot. I begged them to switch us rooms or refund us the $350 we paid so I can at least try to go to another hotel. They refused to refund anything. And said they have no more rooms. Getting completly inconsistent answers from staff. Lack of empathy or any apology from most. I would never return to this hotel nor would I recommend it to anyone ever. This is worse than a 2 star hotel - I don’t know where they get off charging what they do. The only nice area is the lobby. Rooms are disgusting.
Excellent Experience

We had a great stay, and found our room very clean, quiet and comfortable. There were no issues like the complaints in the reviews from February - the Hilton staff must have ensured those inconsistencies were taken care of. The elevators were quick even though we stayed on a big concert weekend. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Our breakfasts at their Watermark Restaurant were generous, hot, and delicious - and the falls views were outstanding! Inside and outside our suite was spotlessly clean. We will be returning for another stay in a couple of months, and looking forward to it.
Great time great service!

We had such a great experience on our anniversary weekend Our room was upgraded to a suite upon arrival thanks to the friendly help from the folks at the Reception counter and beyond We had a lovely view, great room service and a smiling face in greeting from all We really enjoyed our two day stay and we appreciated the complimentary late checkout upon request The proximity to Fallsview and an array of restaurants and bars was perfect! Enjoyed drinks and nibbles while listening to live music in Spyce Lounge thanks to a young gentleman server Shay and his help in checking on Gluten Free options for me Really great weekend for an anniversary celebration Thanks to all
Stayed for work.

Attended a conference here… very nice hotel! Rooms were exceptional, had a nice view of the Falls, and loved the modern shower! Staff were all very nice and extremely helpful! Had lunch at their Italian restaurant and the food was delicious! Location was perfect, able to walk to Clifton Hill! Would definitely book here again!
