We were in unit 203 (ocean front) and literally the ocean was 50 yards from our lanai. The best part of our trip was watching the waves and the surfers from our lanai. It is a quiet resort, which suited us fine. Parking was easy and the unit was very clean, but maybe a little worn down. We found that did not end up impacting the quality of our stay, though. Would 100% recommend.

I felt like the location in Kona and value were great. The place is quiet and the little beach and rocks for sunset are awesome. The residents there were super nice. The one thing that would stop me from staying there again was the lack of privacy in the main bedroom. It was not separated from the main room with a wall, but with a rolling separator. That was super odd and not great for my wife and I. I don’t know if all of the rooms have this set up but would certainly ask before I booked again with our family.

The Aston Kona by the Sea is a great place to stay - clean and spacious with all the amenities you would need, including inside parking, pool and outdoor grills ... and the oceanfront views are awesome!!

AVOID! This is sold as a resort on Google and Yelp, and this is just someone’s musty condo that they’re not using. I booked online and thought the price was set, but when we got there, there was an additional $295 in “cleaning fees” and what the desk lady said was the charges for the rental company. On top of this, it was clear that no sheets had been changed, and there were pubic hairs in the beds and all over the bathrooms. This place is a mess and a scam. Avoid at all costs.

This is a lovely place by the ocean, but just be aware - not a wade or swim beach. However, gorgeous crashing waves, beautiful scenery and a serene, private beach and pool locale with nice jacuzzi tub overlooking sunset. IMPORTANT NOTE: if you book unit #116... Even though it says partial ocean view.... There is NO ocean view. Palm trees COMPLETELY obscure view. Probably worst view in the place. That said, it was clean, fully stocked kitchen, super comfy king bed, and if, like us, you're only there to sleep, it's great.
