Nothing beats Bellagio for ambiance, attractions, elevated dining experience and European class and elegance. Look for online deals! We got our very nice room (not the opulent corner suite that we had last time) for the equivalent of $77/night! If you haven't visited Bellagio you will be enamored from the moment you enter the grand foyer. The ceiling, laden with Chihuly's blown glass fiori, presents audible, jaw-dropping gasps. The atrium garden is a sight to behold. This trip, the display paid homage to Chinese New Year, and the Year of the Rat. The literally millions of vibrantly coloured flowers were fashioned and arranged into life-sized fishermen and dancers, bridges and dragons, and the blooming foundation to whimsical golden rats ascending a staircase into the clouds. The magical botanical profusion of colour changes seasonally. This one will be replaced soon surely with an Easter theme, as it was last year. Between the check in (check in online or expect to wait for at least one hour at the front desk) and the garden is the Petrossian piano bar, where we always sip a cocktail over complimentary candied almonds and salted popcorn at "our" Ocean's Eleven table. The luxuriously appointed, fountain-view room had an elegant foyer with marble floor, large washroom with tub and shower, double sinks, a too-low toilet, and a pair of waffle-weave robes. The King bed was made up with superior linens and ample pillows, and was punctuated with an old-Hollywood-fashioned headboard and frieze. Views of the strip and Bellagio's world-renowned "dancing" fountains make this location a fantasy-come-true. There are multiple reasons why we return to Bellagio, year upon year. Among them, the dining experiences are wonderful. This time, we added Lago and Spago to our culinary adventures. Having a sour taste for the over-rated Spago in West Hollywood, we avoided this restaurant in the past. That was a huge mistake. The patio view and fountain show are even superior to that at Prime! And the food and service were outstanding. My only complaint was that the telephone rang on and on for minutes before I gave up trying to reach anyone at the concierge desk. Other than that, Bellagio gets a ten! Even the casino was so much more elegant than its Vegas Strip rivals. Just skip the buffet. It's not a good value at all, unless you're going for sheer volume. As a bonus, to those who flip out over unruly children, Bellagio is remarkably free of noisy, ill-behaved children. peace out!

There is the Bellagio and then there is everyone else. Bellagio was lagging a few years ago but they have found their magic again. It will forever be my favorite Las Vegas hotel. And I would probably like it more if I was a gambler.

Bellagio, good hotel, but not as great as expected

This hotel was the perfect location and is visually beautiful. But for the price per a room, I expected more. Check-in was dreadful. About an hour and we got in on a late flight. No help with our bags up to the room. No one even offered. The slots were tight. Paid out nothing. Very few card games for people who bet under $10 a hand. The casino floor is beautiful though. My favorite casino floor on the strip.

Premium property...but premium prices and upcharges for everything. Our king-sized room with a nice view was very average size (same size as any mid-priced hotel around the country). Impossible to get anywhere on the main floor without walking through the smoke-filled casino. Nice staff, good location...but we'll likely stay off the strip next time, and avoid a combo 'casino/hotel' despite the convenience for gambling.
