Asian Restaurant

Jimmy C on Apr 12, 2024

Great dinner and service at Tokimeku.. Started out with a sampling of all their starters. The tempura was great. We had salmon, tuna and tempura sushi. The fried rice could have used some onions and eggs. But the halibut dish was amazing and the beef delicious.

Best. Girls Trip. Ever!

Magin B (Los Angeles, California) on Apr 12, 2024

If you don't want to read this whole thing at length, here are the cliff notes. * Tips go a long way for this amazing staff and they 100 percent deserve them. * Our concierge Tedd is a MVP * Abraham was the best at starting our day off right at the buffet. * Get a swim up suite. It's 100% worth it! * The guys who checked us in at the private reserve lounge (I can't pronounce his name or even spell it) deserve a raise. They're the best. My bestie and I needed a girls getaway ASAP and we decided on The Paradisus. They DID NOT disappoint. We booked a pool view swim up room... and it was heaven. Little insider tip... the swim up Rooms have a warmer pool than the hotel one. We spent mornings at our pool on our patio with room service and then moved to our cabana when the sun passed. I feel like I could write a 20 page manual on this amazing property, so I'm going to try to keep it as short and sweet as possible. Day 1: We had a car transport us so I don't know much about the shuttle from the airport. We got to the hotel about noonish. We were greeted immediately. They took our reservation name and told us we could go to Ginger Bar to wait a bit. After we grabbed a drink a concierge came and grabbed us. He gave us a short tour while we walked to the reserve lounge. We checked in privately and received our bracelets. Our room wasn't ready but they allowed us to change into our swimsuits and set us up immediately with a cabana. When our room was ready our appointed concierge (Tedd FOR THE WIN) had our luggage brought down and came and greeted us. I'M TELLING YOU -- VIP TREATMENT ALL THE WAY. Pool was amazing and even met some friends... they have a food truck with the best hotdogs and also A TACO GUY. Had dinner at the Japanese restaurant and weren't very impressed. HOWEVER, Our swim up neighbors loved it. Day 2: Breakfast: Sante - Amazing. Ricotta toast with poached egg was chefs kiss. Lunch- ate at the pool and was amazing. TEDD, our concierge, made sure we had a cabana all reserved. Francisco was the server that day and I wish I could take him with me everywhere. Great service! Early Dinner: Agua Marina - I don't know who the waiter and Busser were and I'm kicking myself that I don't know his name but he was one of our favorite servers. Brought us tequila and taught us how to do a toast in Spanish. We loved him. We actually got out of bed for the fire dancers entertainment that night. SO WORTH IT. Day 3: Breakfast: buffet at ciello SHOUT OUT TO Abraham! Hands down the best server and definitely on top of it all! We took an Uber to Cabo proper and hit up mango deck and The Office. Highly recommend as well. Dinner: Sal - our server was DANIEL and deserves all the praise in the world. He was amazing. Day 4: Breakfast: buffet at Cielo and again Abraham was there totally starting our day off right. We decided to spend the day at our swim up pool since the water was so nice and pool view has amazing morning sun. Tedd checked in with us and made sure we had a cabana reserved when we were ready to move to the hotel pool. We were hanging out with our neighbors just floating when he came to check on it. We mentioned we wanted to hop over and get drinks. He went and got us some micheladas and brought them to us by our pool. THATS WHAT I CALL 5 star service. Lunch we had by the pool again because that food truck is LIFE! Dinner: On Thursdays there is a "art walk" in San Jose and we decided to go there to do some shopping. We got back just in time for some live music and the. Headed to bed. Our last day we went to breakfast at the buffet (it really is great) and said good bye to our second family. Love you all over there!!!

Just amazing!

My husband and I arrived April 1,2024 And though I had tried to upgrade to a swim up room-the week before arriving- the front service desk informed me that if they could, it would be $300 US per night extra on top of my prepaid flight and hotel at $9472.00 CAN I was a bit upset to say the least So I contacted Westjet and they responded immediately that they would see what they could do for us. I went numerous days to the front desk Trying to enjoy our stay on our 40th wedding anniversary. One very blessed manager Patricia and her associate Maria Jose took care of us from that point! Upgraded our room, gave us reserve bracelets which allowed us access to upgrades of all kinds! As a person who is in the service industry, I have two locations of tracycakes bakery cafes, and 20 employees- so over and above service does not go unnoticed! Thanks Paradisus for employing so many wonderful staff and allowing us to enjoy- wonderful food, fantastic service and care and a room with a swim up pool! Our anniversary will always be special because we celebrated hat Paradisus!

Awful. Just awful.

Vacation63035899451 (Houston, Texas) on Apr 12, 2024

From the inability to manage food allergies/preferences, to a broken toilet that despite multiple repeated visits stayed broken (I did tell them repeatedly to change the seat as the hinge portion was damaged). Paradisus was anything but idyllic. The food everywhere was disappointing as heck. The only time anyone took an interest in getting my food restrictions appropriate was a gentleman named Luis at Sante. Every single other restaurant was a major letdown. Room service would be better off not existing. The quality of the food is akin to Chef Boyardee and microwaved pizza. The Circle Club offer is hilariously overpriced and given the service, incredibly poor value. For the price per night we paid I’d never stay at another Melia property ever again. At half the rate this resort would still not be worth wasting your money on.

Asian restaurant a good change from typical teppanyaki

kristazacharuk on Apr 08, 2024

Karina at Tokimeku was delightful. She was very attentive, food was quick to come, and she had plenty of recommendations to provide. Recommend the shrimp tempura, gyozas, and shrimp niguiri. The outside patio spot was also a nice little oasis.
