Had a wonderful family vacation. Staff is so friendly! Hotel is great about following COVID protocols. Food is great and lots of options for kids- very kid friendly resort. Playmaker staff is wonderful. My kids had the best time playing with Hakiem...he was so patient and attentive and kept them busy! Only negative would be having to wake up early to reserve beach chairs and cabanas are not included.

    Best place for teens!

We were suppose to go back to Beaches Ocho Rios, but COVID changed our plan to Negril, and I am so glad! Our kids are 14 and 17, and they loved the resort and the staff they interacted with. Both girls were encouraged to play volleyball, dance, and simply have fun! Our youngest is really outgoing while her older sister is an introvert, yet Prince, Michael and Dersha all had them both dancing and engaged with fun activities and other teens. These three workers were EXCEPTIONAL and my husband and I were ale to fully relax with the knowledge that our girls were not only having a great time, but they were safe! Kamar S. guided two of our snorkeling trips, and he was amazing! He stopped to point out various sea life and explain their features. My oldest had noted, she learned more about sea life during those trips than she did through her biology classes! I have celiac, and the food was awesome! Every restaurant had GF items, and prepared my food separately. Tracey Ann in Le Paris was amazing, and always made sure my crepes (which being GF I hadn't had in years) were safe and delicious. We had thought about trying another Beaches, but after this experience, we will come back to Negril!

The water park was nice and the horse back riding excursion was fun. Was it worth the 5k that I paid for it definitely not. Problems with the room: I booked this trip a year and a half in advance and was placed in the room farthest from everything. My tv didn't work at all the entire week, I made numerous service calls and complaints about it. They got it working the day before I left for about 10 minutes. The look on my room was broke, I didn't realize it till after I was there for over a day. Mini bar did not get stocked or checked on a daily basis until I had made a call about it. Phone ended up going out the day before I left. Water for the bath tub had to run for at least 20 minutes before it started to warm up. There was no communication about daily activities other than a tv screen that was practically on the other side of the resort. The customer service was nowhere near the level that Disney is. Excursion issues; like I mentioned at the beginning the horse back riding excursion was tons of fun. I booked the dolphin highlight tour also, didn't pay for the dolphins cause we weren't interested in them, Dolphin Cove supposedly had a pirate and shark show along with sting ray interaction, jungle tour, buffet and snorkeling (all confirmed by the beaches excursion desk). 2-1/2 hour drive turned into a 4-1/2 almost 5 hour drive one way. Arrived a Dolphin Cove and they had nothing running except the dolphins. We sat on the pier for 3 hours, got on the bus and went to Dunn's Falls for 1/2 hour and then a 4-1/2 to 5 hour ride back to the resort. Beaches is eventually going refund me 1/2 of the excursion money (haven't received it yet) and credited me the room bill ($50) to make up for the horrible excursion day and no tv for a week but I will never waste my money on a Beaches resort. My advice spend a little extra money and take a Disney Cruise.

Beaches Negril, Ya Mon, this place is PARADISE! Super clean, super safe, and super smart in the fight against COVID. They have it together on all fronts! Most important, the people of Jamaica, beautiful. I did not take many pictures because talking to the people from Jamaica is all the visual you need. They paint it with the way they talk and always from the heart. Orlando- at the beach every morning before 6AM; this mon’ is a great Jamaican ambassador. Great person with a big heart. Ann Marie was the best beach attendant we could have possibly had. She attended to our every need and made our drinks herself. She taught us about the local customs and historical background that we otherwise would have missed out on. Maxine - She is a 12 on 10 scale massage Therapist; booked her again after first session for round two, 90 minutes that will change your life(and every pain in your body….. gone !) Alex and Popeye were with us on several water sports activities, but none more special than our private boat excursion our last night...we went cave snorkeling, to Rick's Cafe and to watch a beautiful sunset on the water our last night. Their attention to detail and overall love of what they do showed in the great job they did...were are a fun group and love to cut up and they were all in! Jermaine- this chef runs the BBQ/ Jerk Chicken spot, this food is amazing, flavors are very authentic with local flare – it was everyday for lunch and sometimes twice when enough rum punchs were going doewn. When it comes to the food, Jermaine has the corner on the jerk chicken, short ribs, and Coco bread Photos - When getting your photos taken, make sure you request Cash...so many times, taking photos can be stressful...but we had the best time and he captured some great moments. Conclusion - The resort was immaculate, very manageable and most importantly safe. I know the US State Department has warned against Jamaica's travel because of safety, that is about small areas around Kinston, your 8-10 hours from Kingston when you're in Negril area. However, I must say that I felt completely safe while at Beaches.

We have been to Beaches Turks & Caicos 4 times, and since it is still currently closed we booked last minute to go to Negril Beaches. We had low expectations, knowing the resort was much smaller in size, fewer restaurants, no turquoise water and not the lavish pools we were accustomed to in Turks. Our expectations were far far exceeded and we've already rebooked to return later this month. Our kids are 8 and 10 and loved the smaller size of the resort and the increased freedom they were given. Another perk is the the water park is far more fun for their age and is right next to a pool and swim up bar. Another perk of the water park is that it is RIGHT on the beach so its very easy to bounce back and forth between the two. The sand is white and soft and the sea is pretty and calm. The food, drinks and restaurants also far surpassed our expectations. We dined at Mariachi twice and found all the dishes fresh and perfectly prepared. We're not usually big fan of Italian food while on a beach vacation, Venetian, the fine dining restaurant, prepared lovely dishes that we all enjoyed. The bartenders all created fun and fruity drinks. The highlight of the resort is the staff. Nearly every person we encountered was friendly, helpful and engaging. From Luther the bellman to Daniel at the main lobby bar to Odane at Loyalty, the staff all goes above and beyond to create a welcome environment. The lifeguard Neiko is the biggest source of entertainment at the water park. He engages with every kid and every adult in the most fun and lively manner. The concierge staff are warm and helpful. Giselle from guest services provided us such friendly and engaging banter. Adrian H at the Piazza Pool bar was just such a pleasure to interact with every day. He always had a creative cocktail dreamed up for us and treated our kids with such a joyful demeanor. Janice at the beach bar was such a delight every day and made a point and finding us and having a quick chat with us daily. The showstoppers of the staff are the Playmakers. They provide a lively and fun atmosphere all day at the pools and beach and all night at the shows. They bring an incredible energy with their dancing and games. They are so fantastic with kids and adults alike. Our favorite Romario has a shining personality that just radiates energy. Adrian, Michael, Shamoya, Kadasha, Gavin and Hakeem are shining stars who made every day so much fun. We Loved the Playmakers and think they should be at every Beaches resort! We cannot recommend the resort enough and are so excited to be returning so soon. We stayed in an ocean front room with a king size bed and trundle for the kids. It was plenty big for a family of 4. We loved that everything was within a few minutes walk away.
