There aren’t enough words to describe this gorgeous gem and all the people that make up the couples family. You will make life long friends, plan your return trips together, it’s simply incredible! The food is fantastic, the service is fabulous, everything here feels just like home!! The beach is epic!!! Stayed in a beachfront suite in July, just after reopening. I can’t express enough how safe I felt, how hard the staff works to ensure our health and safety. Please, go, visit this amazing place and all the wonderful things Jamaica has to offer! You won’t be disappointed!!!
Excellent and Safe Vacation

We stayed at CN from December 20th to January 2nd and we had a fantastic time! Couples has all the Covid protocols in place, extra sanitizing, mask requirements and we felt totally safe. Occupancy was low, about 25% so things were pretty quiet. Restaurants were open on rotation in the evenings, but we have no complaints about the food, always a great meal awaiting us. There was still nightly entertainment and morning continental breakfast delivery. There was no buffet, but rather all meals were al a carte. Christmas was awesome, with Santa arriving by boat. New Year’s Eve was spectacular with amazing decorations and a wonderful choice of meals. The beach was virtually deserted, it felt like we had the place to ourselves. Couples Negril is doing an excellent job with Covid precautions and if you can go ... GO! It was a wonderful 2 weeks and we cannot wait to return for visit #8.
Good But Not Great

We've been to Jamaica more than 20 times. We've stayed at Couples 5 times, 3 at Sans Souci. This is our 2nd time at Negril. The drive to the airport was fine, only one other couple in the van. At the resort, check-in was quick when we arrived around 4. Our temperature was taken and everyone was masked. We found out then that the resort was less than 25% occupancy. Our beachfront room on the 3rd floor of building 1 was as expected. Comfy bed, plenty of storage, lots of vanity space. Two downsides in the bathroom. The sink was the shallowest sink I have ever seen. If you happen to turn the water on full force, you would get water splashed all over you. The shower, well, you had to be very careful because the water would change from warm to boiling hot in an instant. Our housekeeper, and I apologize for not remembering her name, was wonderful. She kept our room spotless. We had pre-booked Oteheite (never could spell it right) but there was some confusing emails that we got so we went to guest services to check on our reservation. Luckily we did. We had a 7:30 reservation. Guest Services told us that they changed the seating times to 6:15 and 8:00 due to the low occupancy. We were able to switch to the 6:15. Had we not checked, I don't know when we were supposed to be there. In fact, we were never 100% sure which restaurant was open when. As far as the food goes, the 1st two days all of the food was terrific. Great service, food done perfectly. After that, it just seemed to go downhill. The food was not consistent. Pad Thai at Lychees the 1st time was great. The 2nd time I didn't recognize it and it didn't taste the same. Service at each restaurant, well the majority of the servers just went through the motions after the 1st two days. They weren't bad or mean or anything like that. They were just not friendly, not what we're used to in Jamaica. The only consistant place was the veggie restaurant. The person there was great and the food was awesome. What I said about the food and service at the restaurants was definitely not true for the bars. Everyone behind the bar was friendly and willing to make anything you wanted. There was always someone walking the beach checking to see if you wanted a drink. It was great not having to fight for a beach chair. Due to the low occupancy there were plenty. There was a section that was non-smoking which was great. They should expand it. We did the catamaran trip and I highly recommend it. We sailed to the cliff divers and then got in the water and swam through a cave. Awesome! Entertainment was lacking. The two shows had a band and a singer. They were good and talented but we left midway through each. One day, we were relaxing on the beach when we noticed 2 young kids splashing around. We saw their mother sitting on the sand in the water. I know the beach is public so I didn't think that much of it. That was until the mother and kids went over and sat on the chairs. They were with a few other members of their family. A little while later, a staff member came out with a tray of food for them and one of them tipped him. They also got lots of drinks. I found out later that they were either family or friends of the Issa family, the owners of Couples. I do know that staff and management did not know about them because they came out to find out what was going on. I guess they had to let them stay but the kids were never seen again after that day. So, to summarize, we had a good time. We would definitely go back. Nothing was bad. We were just used to consistent food and service at Sans Souci. And better communication! Oh, kudos to Guest Services. They were friendly and very helpful.
Beyond being a hotel

It’s not often that I write reviews but I must say Couples Negril is a Dimond among pearls. Couples hotels location is stunningly beautiful with Aqua green walls and stunning wood framed ceilings in the terrace restaurant comfortable rattan chairs lovely velvet red sofas and ottomans in the lobby and beautiful show with locally produced art coffee drinks and more. The food is freshly made with even a health food bar by the large pool with a pool bar facing the sea. Staff are what make the experience even better they are friendly and attentive neatly attired and stick to all Covid 19 Protocols mandates by the Jamaican governments guidelines. Being the first and best all inclusive within the Caribbean Couples hotels track record speaks for itself a pioneer in quality and service since the 1950s. Many hotels and restaurants worldwide are suffering right now some institution with a long history in the service industry have had to close. Let’s support our favorite establishments like couples hotels and keep people employed. Blessed day and stay safe. Christian Ghisays

The resort was absolutely beautiful, and the workers were amazing. They did all they could to make the week perfect. The food was good, but I do wish we would have more choices on things to eat. Overall our trip was great and I would love to go back
