Great place to stay and live like a New Yorker!

Very impressed with the two bedroom apartment on 26th Floor with a great view of the Empire State Building at the other end of Manhattan. Comfortable and well equipped apartment but with maid service gives the best of both worlds. Q line subway station right on the door step made travelling easy, and nice 15 minute walk to Central Park made this a great location for a week. Great grocery store five minute walk away and plenty of restaurants around if you don't want to cook. Very helpful Concierge service who helped organise theatre tickets - although the young woman who was supposed to organise an airport taxi overnight let us down. Would definitely stay here again - nice, safe location and very comfortable apartment.

Stayed here for 8;days.The first room allocated was noisy akin to a jumbo jet noise and couldn’t sleep. After complaining we we moved to the 15th floor which was good. The Hotel definitely has good and bad rooms, and the desk staff are well aware of what is good and bad.The whole building is aging but is overall comfortable.Rail station next door is great and also supermarket and eating places are walking distance.Would recommend “but don’t stand for a noisy room “.Speaking to other guests, there are quite a number of these rooms.

We chose this purely because as a family of 5 we needed space! This did not dispoint, we had an apartment on the 18th floor. It was clean and spacious. Location was great for us! we bought the 7 day metro pass for 33 dollars and used the Q line to get around. The apartment block is very well situated and the staff are very friendly, the maid comes in daily. If you want space and are happy to be away from the hustle and bustle then this is the place for you! I would of give it 5 but it really does need updating, though we knew this before we went so it was easy to overlook.

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights from the 6th July. We ended up staying only 2 nights in the end as we arrived on the Saturday instead of the Friday and then paid for an upgraded room on arrival. The room was decidedly substandard with the cooker not working and 2 engineers being called out to try and fix it they said the owners needed to spend money on the hotel as the had not done so fro some time. On closer inspection the oven was disgusting It was very dirty and clearly had not been professionally cleaned for many years. The carpets were worn and faded the kitchen kick boards were rotten and had chunks missing. The blinds were frayed and worn,. The heaters worked well but the top kept coming off. Generally it looked very dated and tired. On our last morning we saw a cockroach come out from behind the blinds, clearly not alone. We informed the reception and told them to sort it out. As we were checking out that morning we thought we would raise the issue with our travel company when we returned to the UK. To date I have been informed that they have not had a response from yourselves. I have now taken the liberty of contacting you directly to address the situation as I paid for an upgraded room and feel that the room we stayed in should not be rented and represents a health hazard.

The hotel is situated on a very great location to discover NYC. Subway station next to the hotel. Central park in about 10 minutes walking distance. Very nice staff at the hotel. Beautiful Appartement-rooms fully equipped with kitchen. Due to leak windows, a little bit of the city noise came through, but it's not disturbing. It's a very good hotel to stay when visiting NYC.
