    Convenient but needs a remodel

My family and family friends stayed here in two connecting rooms. We were greeted immediately and checked in quickly. Our rooms appeared to be clean but there was room for improvement due to how old this hotel is. This location is in need of a remodel and according to their website one is scheduled soon after our two night stay. The Amber Waves restaurant was good and the food we had was fresh and made to order at dinner and breakfast. It’s a bit over priced but that is to be expected in almost any hotel restaurant. All of the staff in the restaurant at night and during the day were very friendly and service oriented. There was a pool and splash pad and the pool appeared to be heated which is a huge plus for the next time we come to Knotts Berry Farm. We paid slightly less than $300 for two nights for one room with no other extras like breakfast. Not the best price considering the small slightly outdated rooms, but for the convenience of being a few hundred feet away from the entrance to Knotts Berry Farm it can be considered worth it. This hotel also hosts weddings on the first floor and we think the receptions on the second floor. Thank you for reading my humble review.

What’s Knott to like? Well let me tell you....

I’ve been coming to this hotel for 15 years, and not much has changed. It’s the lowest family amusement park deal in town. The free breakfast Buffett is good ( But the bacon could be cooked a little longer, just sayin) The problem is the room, no fridge ( Now that’s extra) and the NOISE! The toilets run, the maids vacuum in the middle of the night and you can hear people going in and out. All night. The walls are thin. This has been a consistent problem EVERYtime I go here. Everything else is ok.

Our family stayed at Knott's hotel for a few days right after Christmas to enjoy Knott's Merry Farm. The staff at check-in were kind and efficient. We didn't pay for a room on the Camp Snoopy wing and I regretted it. By the time we checked in, they were all booked. We did add on a Snoopy plush, which was a perfect little addition. Like other reviewers pointed out, the room was a little outdated but ours was incredibly clean. We loved having a view of Ghostrider out the window. We checked in after a long day on the road and after a short walk to Marketplace for dinner were in bed pretty quickly. We all slept like babies and we loved hearing the laughter and excitement as Ghost Rider zipped down the track. It was the best way to fall asleep for our coaster-loving family. Breakfast buffet at Amber Waves was delicious each morning. A surprise visit from Snoopy was a very exciting surprise for our daughter. There was a great variety of food and there were no disappointments. One morning we skipped Knott's for a bit and went to the pool. It was nice to swim around and also enjoy the hot tub. Every staff member we encountered at the hotel was helpful and cheerful. Knott's has always been my favorite amusement park but it was the first time we've stayed at the hotel. I hope to go back and enjoy the hotel again soon. It was a great stay.

The way my event is handled is way below my expectation. The customer service from the catering to the bartender, maintenance, front desk is so bad. I dont know if because im only hosting a 170 people guest for my daughters birthday. But i never feel that they want my business at all. Debbie from catering is so busy that she did t got to see my email for my food selection. Good thing I stop by the hotel to pay otherwise it will be a big mess. Next, front desk agent we try to check in at around 1pm, from the time we arrived i can tell that she doesnt want to help us, she looks annoyed to the fact that we are trying to check in early. Next is Steven from maintenance, the circuit breaker blew in our ballroom, instead of them to just reset it this guy argued and lectured me and the dj about to much power in use infront of my guest. This really upset me, i am so embarassed that my guest have to experience this. Then when i got home, i am putting my baby to sleep then, somebody from the hotel called me again and ask for my vendors information. Apparently, one of the vendor hit one of the employees car. Then, i immediately contacted my vendors to find out what happen. It turns out its the vendor from another event. I know knotts hotel is not a five star hotel but i didnt expect to receive the kind of service just like motel 6. I simply wont recommend because its not worthit.

Food Poison and Rain Marred The Still Enjoyable Visit

During our recent trip to California my wife and I checked into the Knott’s Berry Farm hotel for a few days of rest and fun. This was our third time covering the hotel as we made in our base of operations for E3 2018 and last year we stayed for an evening ahead of our stay and coverage for the D23 Expo. This time out our plan was for three days of rest and enjoying the park, hotel and surrounding area around our end of year travel coverage. Our visit got off to a rough start due to heavy rains which caused Knott’s to close for the day. While our check in was very friendly; we did have to wait for a bit but thankfully the room was ready earlier than expected. While we have stayed at the hotel and knew what to expect; I had to remind myself that there are no refrigerators or microwaves in the room and so food and drinks do require a bit of planning. The hotel does offer coffee and tea in the room and ice and soda are available at vending machines throughout. The hotel offers a nice pool area as well as a workout area with a sauna but sadly the rain and cold weather limited our options and I took advantage of some of the workout gear as time allowed. There is also a store that sells all sorts of souvenirs and sundries for those in need. The hotel does offer the great Amber Waves restaurant which features a bar and impressive menu. We have eaten there in the past and I opted to get some take away on Friday evening but sadly ended up with an evening of stomach issues thanks to either the Sour Cream or Guacamole. This is a shame as the food was good and the stomach issues marred an otherwise enjoyable stay. The hotel is close to the park and it is a very easy walk to the main gate and you will pass by several shops as well as the bakery, Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Restaurant, and other dining options along the way. There are also numerous dining and retail options close by to enjoy. The Wi-Fi and cable options in our room were good and our room was also clean and comfortable aside from the bed which was a bit too stiff for our liking after years of enjoying Memory Foam at home. The rain was constant through most of our visit and it did limit our amount of time in the park but thankfully we were able to enjoy what we could when the weather cooperated even if it meant missing much of the seasonal evening activities. The hotel had many events going on during our stay as many groups used the conference rooms for parties, training, and gatherings which did at times put a strain on parking. I would suggest looking into an Annual Pass as members who have one and book through the hotel directly enjoy free parking as well as discounts on food and items in and around the park and hotel. One of the nice things about the hotel is that it is clean and comfy and yet has a worn aroma and vibe to it. Some may find this off-putting but like the musty scent of some of the shops near the park; this gives me a sense of history to the locale and shows how despite changes, the area does keep ties to the past. This is a not shiny glass and steel modern facility but rather a facility that has endured over the years and continues to offer a quality yet no frills stay at an affordable price. Sadly due to the weather and illness; we spent far more time in the room and hotel than we would have liked or planned to, but at least the friendly staff and comfy rooms allowed us a lazy and relaxing respite.
