    FINNELL Fam loves ?? the HOMEWOOD Suites ??

    Our family loves to stay at the HOMEWOOD Suites during the BNP Tennis Tournament. We like to visit during the first weekend as it works we’ll with our schedule. We have already signed up,(unofficially) for March 2020 and will be calling 8 months in advance to secure our room. Would like to be able to sign up earlier..? Maybe as a Hilton Honors member this might be a “perk” to consider offering to guests in the future. We are the “loyal”-type family guests and, appreciate the friendly & consistent level of service offered by the HOMEWOOD Suites. Keep up the GREAT Service?? —??—5- ?? ‘s? Hunter Finnell & family.

    Great location for tennis paradise

    My wife and I stayed here for a week while attending the BNP Paribas tennis tournament. The location is ideal -- only an 11-minute walk from the venue, on easy sidewalks along high traffic streets. The social evenings early in the week were excellent, with good selection of food and sufficient beer and wine. Breakfast was much calmer environment than I've had at other hotels. Bed was super-soft and comfortable. Gym was a bit small but okay.

    We couldn't have been happier with our 10 days stay at this hotel. The suite was sufficiently large, well-equipped, and very quiet. The bed was comfy, with nice linens and pillows. The hotel staff were always friendly and willing to help. The breakfast in the AM changed main courses daily and was some of the best breakfast food/selection I've had at any hotel--and it was free. We did not partake in the complimentary happy hour, but lots of people did and they raved about it. An Applebee's is right out the door for a quick meal, or there are plenty of restaurants on Hwy 111, a short drive away. The location is ideal--close to La Quinta's downtown and close to Palm Desert. Also walking distance to the IW tennis center. This hotel would be a great choice for a couple, as well as a small family.

    Aging facility in dire need of help! Hilton, do you read me?

    Based on reviews on this site we booked this hotel for 2 weeks in February. Sadly, the hotel didn't live up to expectations, and we would not stay again. Our bathroom (and our entire room) had a strong sewer gas smell and we told staff repeatedly---maintenance came to check on the issue every time we called but quickly left saying they would do something and that other rooms had the same problem, but nothing changed. The front desk staff repeatedly told us for over a week that there were no other rooms available, and since we had other friends staying there, we stayed. Finally, we were able to move to another room but believe that we should have been moved quickly from a room that wasn't safe or comfortable. That aside, we felt the facility itself needs some serious attention. The carpets in the rooms and hallways are dirty and stained, and seldom vacuumed in the 2 weeks we were there. The room with the sewer smell had at least 5 burned out bulbs when we arrived, and the last room had several as well. The windows were filthy on the inside, the screens on the patio doors were torn and tattered, and soiled linens were routinely piled up in the hallway floors outside the rooms and stayed that way until the end of the day. Breakfast was ok, with little variation. The saltwater pool and hot tub were nice, but the towels poolside were rarely replenished unless a guest called. We really wanted to like this hotel since the staff was friendly and kind, the other guests were pleasant, and the location is very convenient for a long term stay. The manager tried to make things right at the end, but we truly would have preferred not having to go through the stress of it all. We have been Hilton Honors members for many years, and were surprised at the run down nature of this hotel.

    Clean, good breakfast buffet, no frills, but adequately delivered all the necessary amenities. When additional towels were requested promptly received. Other guests had complained prior to our arrival that the pool and spa were too cold. The requested complied with.
